My two Protank II Ver 1 Minis that I complained about aren't authentic, it turns out. I won't order from the place I got them again.

My actual genuine Mini II Ver 2 is working fine now. The problem that I had with that one is that when we were trying to figure out the problems with the other two, we accidentally put the wrong base on it (from one of the fakes), and the threading is different, so it was not always making a connection.

So I'm happy with my True Kanger Mini, and have ordered another (hopefully genuine!!) one.

Coil Coil Coil.
(sorry - I did not read the entire thread).
you need to watch this video; even if you are not planning to rebuild your coil, it will help you understand concepts of flow, dry burns and the like.
Which juice you use make absolutely no difference, I have two mini protank 2 s and they vape ANYTHINS (20/80, 80/20/ 0/100 water...)
Wicking is crucial, you might have to add a cotton strand \silica on the top wick (if you gargle) or remove a tiny strand (if you get burnt taste).
Also dry burn your coil and remove any excess water after cleaning (it reacts with PG)
It takes 5 minutes and WELL WORTH THE TIME.

I have to say that the Smok coils mentioned above are my only purchase and I am happy. Someone mentioned that website and it has all the hardware that I need. I have one PT2, but the rest are "barrel" shaped BCs from that site. Never have issues with my clearomizers. Cheaper and work better. I do go elsewhere for juice, though.

Hope helps,
Jere

I've had a mini pt2 for about 2 weeks now, and it was horrible originally. I am typically a dropper but wanted to try it out. I noticed the stock heads were horribly inconsistent. Ended up recoiling and rewicking it with cotton and now it works flawlessly. No problems since then. Definitely try rewicking it with cotton, it will change the experience completely.

What kind of cotton? I don't want bleached cotton, not a good flavor.

Here you go, made by SMOK:
Smok Tech Replacement Bottom Coils

Probably will not find them cheaper.

Is that the correct link, and are these supposed to be replacements for the PT2?
The link seems to go to great lengths to say they are not compatible with other maunfacturers besides SMOK Tech, and are also 1.5 ohms.
