Watched the vid.

First of all: THAT IS NOT A MINIPROTANK.
That's a protank type; not a mini.

A miniprotank is like having that evod you have there, but it's glass instead of plastic.

The difference: the protank uses a 510 thread which introduces all sorts of problems, whereas both the evod and the miniprotank use the big eGo threads, and the airholes are obvious.

Now since you have both the protank and evod, you can swap around the coil between the two of them to check if the problem is with the coil.

Oh, well the smoke shop I bought it at advertised it as a mini protank from the "dream vapor" company, not kangertech. And yes man I already tried swapping my evod coils with the protank, the evod could were slightly too wide and couldn't screw in. The threads are the same but the evod coil just had a wider base.

And yes, I do hear the e cig working when I fire the button and listen. I hear it with both tanks, but it tried it earlier when the protank was working to it's full capacity and it was louder. The sound is definitely weaker/quieter than it was when my
Protank was working to maximum capacity.

Thanks for responses I appreciate you all trying to help me out!

the coils are supposed to be the same.

all I can say is just stick with the evod for now and if you got the protank from a local vape shop take it back and show them that the coils are different from your evol coil; they ought to be compatible.

I use eGo threaded tanks myself, and recommend them for new vapers, and I'm thinking the problem originates with positive pin connection problems which tends to happen more with 510 threaded tanks; you could try to raise the positive pin on the battery side, or you could try pulling downwards on the little pin on the coil in the protank-(but most likelywhen you try that you'll either pull it right out orotherwise short out or physically shift something inside that tiny coil.)
