Found out the wicks were getting between the tank and the tank bottom creating a tiny space for liquid to leach up. I trimmed a tad less than 1/4" off of the wicks and am good to go! Thanks for the advice.

I just got back in town, read your post and was just gonna suggest this!

Don't have a mini Vivi myself, but have had the same thing happen with the long-wicked heads for the stardusts. It only takes a tiny bit of wick to get a slow leak going, and you can barely see that it's getting inside the thread,

So happy you found your answer!

Interesting thread.
I have a mini nova that had its tank destroyed by a lemonade juice. I set it aside until I could get a new tank, finally bought a smokey plastic tank and a metal tank. After a few uses, I noticed that the plastic tank had started to leak up the bottom threads of the tank.
I pulled it apart to clean it, and noticed that the plastic tank does not have o-rings on either the top or bottom, but the metal one does. I'm gonna try trimming the wicks back a bit the next time I put it together with the plastic tank.
