Hi All,

I first want to apologize for my lack of knowledge on the subject. Still learning, and loving!

I started out with a 510-T. Loved the taste, the throat hit and the ease of use with the exception of a) having to refill the tank daily and making a mess while I was doing it and b) the constant leaking!
I'd be sure not too fill it up to high, I'd be sure not to prime (as I found this caused leakage) but even after using a tank once, sometimes twice, it would leak.

So I bought a mini? nova? Or a vivi nova? I'm not sure, it's a 2.00ml tank, currently I'm using the 2.4ohm coil head. It's attached to an Ego-T upgrade battery, and I've turned it up to the second level (2 level battery).
I filled it and it's taken me almost 3 weeks to empty it, I'm a pretty light vapor and was a 4 cig a day smoker.
Anyhow, here are my questions:
1) Should I be cleaning the tank between fill-ups? I think that would be messy....
2) If I shouldn't be cleaning between fill-ups should I just discard the coil head after each use (approx 3 weeks?)
3) I feel I have to pull HARD, and I'm still not satisfied with the throat hit. The same juice dripped onto an atty on my 510-t is great.

What are your thoughts/advice? Thanks so much in advance for your patience.

Wow, 3 weeks on a mini-viva tank!!! I'll easily go thru 2 of those tanks a day. And pulling hard ..... Something's definately wrong. You should be getting plumes of vape with little effort, similar to dripping on your 510T.

Do you have the little 'beauty ring' on your battery threads? Theae sometimes restrict airflow. Vivas draw air from the connector to the battery, if it's plugged, you'll have a very hard draw using very little juice. Is your viva screwed in to the battery way too tight? This could also cause a hard draw & low juice consumption.

Take off your viva, at the bottom thread you should see 1 or more tiny holes. Ensure these aren't plugged up with gunk or anything. Take a draw on it not connected to your battery, it should be an easy draw and similar to what it is when connected. Examine your head, replace it with another ... You may have something blocking the air passage down to the air holes in the thread. Before you replace the head with a new one, rinse out the everything and dry with a paper towel ensuring nothing blocking this passage.

At the connection on the battery, you should have 2 or 4 slots at the top .... Like a screwdriver slot .... This is air passages to the head. If your battery doesn't have these little slots, your viva won't work right.

Hope this helps .... Before answering your cleaning questions, need to get your viva working right! :)

THANK YOU so much for your advice.
I still think something is wrong.... (I do have 2 holes above the threads, they don't look plugged)
I'm a chick, so yeah, I for sure have a beauty ring, lol. I took it off. There is a bit of a difference, so thank you! I have it unscrewed as much as I can without it actually not working or wobbling all over.
Now when you say 'examine your head, replace it with another' do you mean the coil head, inside the tube? I took off the top screw part of the vivi, looked down into the hole, looks alright, I see a little coil. Blew through it and it seemed a little tough?

When I mentioned not to screw it tight on the battery ..... shouldn't be loose, finger tight is fine, just don't do like my wife does occasionally & torque it down super tight!

The head, containing the wick & coil, is removable and replaceable. It unscrews from the chromed shaft. Heres a vid of Pete Busardo cleaning & rebuilding his viva. In the vid he's rewrapping a new coil and replacing the wick .... most just replace the head with another store bought one for a few bucks.

When all apart, blow thru the tube the head attaches too. Not only to blow out any remaining water from rinsing, but it ensures theres no obstructions. There will be a little resistance, its not like blowing thru a straw.

This video is exactly how I clean & rebuild my viva heads.

Also, heres a vendor pic of a normal ego type battery: Gun Metal eGo Battery, 900 mAh Doesn't matter if its an ego, a spinner, or a high dollar custom mod ....

See the slots at the very top of the connection? If your battery doesn't have slots similar to this, a viva won't work and will be air restricted.
