Same thing happened to my Vision Vivi Nova mini. I'm taking a vape, and when I go to put it down, I notice the tank is crooked. What's up with that? Thought it had come unscrewed, so I tried screwing it back down, and I have the tank in my hand with the battery connector still screwed into the batt, and liquid running everywhere. It appears as if the tube is press fitted into the connector, as I didn't see any glue/sealant. I liked that little tank, but I'll wait until a new version comes out before getting another, as I've had this one past the return period.

I think there's way too much emphasis put on "genuine" and "fakes" when the real issue should be quality. You can read endless gripes about authentic Vivi Nova performance or lack thereof, as well as high praise for the various knockoffs. Think of all the dozens of ego-style batteries, or the legions of atomizers, carts, VV devices, etc. that all have their loyal adherents, even though each one is a copy of
something that came before.

As with any vaping device certain practices must be followed. Dark juices are going to drastically shorten a coil's lifespan, but the advantage of most clearos is that they dry burn pretty easily, and with the Vivi Novas cleaning is easier than ever. I can rehab mine in less than five minutes, including burn time. And it's a clone from free-cigs.com.

Let's face it - these are inherently cheap items, but for some reason our expectations of functionality are similar to those of Rolex owners. Just follow some basic usage and maintenance practices (outlined in about a billion places throughout this forum and elsewhere) and you should be vaping relatively stress-free.

I don't expect a clearo to last like a Rolex. Not even close. But I do expect it to work out of the box. That's my only gripe. I don't like paying $10 for some gadget that never worked a second in its life. And I can even live with that except it happens all too often. Most of this gear is made in China and their QC has a lot to be desired.

You know it's weird, but from all the stuff I've bought over the last three years I've only had one totally dead item - a Resurrector 1.7. Everything else has worked to one degree or another, but generally ok. I'm kind of baffled by those who claim that 3 out of every 5 Boges they buy are, well, bogus, or that their Vivis are all DOA. I'm not casting aspersions here, but it does make one wonder, doesn't it...?

Purchased 2 mini novas and 1 I consider DOA as the base had 'zero' air flow.
There wasn't anything noticeable with a visual inspection and I wanted to zip wheel it open, but when I mentioned the issue to the vendor, they wanted to replace it.
I didn't like the device and gave mine to the wife. She now has 2 mini's and seems content with them in her device rotation.

No doubt that some of this stuff is crap, since, as Bronze points out, it's mostly made in China and they don't seem to care that much about QC. But I've found that vendors do make a difference: some seem to have consistently inferior products; others not so much. My current favorites are CC Vaping and free-cigs.com, but others are fine as well. Not all Vivis are equal; you may have a lousy clone (although there are good ones), or a lousy original, since, from what I've heard, Vision isn't all that reliable..

I just upgraded from my regular clearo's to vision mini vivis. Been using them for two days and have nothing but kudos for the makers. One clear, one red and one opaque black.
funny thing is the black one has raised eyebrows from everyone because looks cool on my black twist. I had to figure out a way to find out when it needs re-filling because you can't see the liquid. But I am very pleased.

The real situation is that all chinese attys (genuines and knock-offs) are coming from the same factories... is not just one "trusty" Vision factory as we imagine... that's why we have lots that come steady with a very good QA and others that are hit and miss..... I own a genuine Vivi Nova (3.5 ML) but I have seen 2 different clones, the GS-V Core and other one that Heaven-Gifts is selling, I think is called Aclear Vivi Nova... the Aclear looks actually nicer than the genuine vivi nova, it has aluminium Tip and the tank looks solid.... I cannot talk about performance since I only saw it once and didn't try it.

I have a mishap with my MVN and Twist on the dancefloor where the F portion of the photo came completely apart. The outer post came off to reveal the inner post. After putting it back together with a new head, I saw MVN sat a little crooked on the Twist. I gently pushed on it to straighten it and the base plate popped out from the knurled bottom ring. I pushed it back together with a couple of pliers and reassemled it again and it works fine.

I bought this from Electonicstix, so I have to believe this is the real product.
