I've been off of nicotine for years. I quit cold turkey and about a year ago I took up vaping cuz my brother got me interested in it. I've vaped 0mg for awhile now. I ordered some 3mg juice because I knew that the nicotine absorption would be negligible and I was curious to see what it would do to the same flavor vs 0mg. Seemed to improve the flavor and throat hit of my menthol juice. I took 5 drags in quick succession and couldn't even feel the nicotine. Got me curious.. what would it even take to begin feeling the nicotine at all when using a tiny cigalike stick battery?

I would say probably about 12 mg. When using a pen like that (which I haven't for a long time) I used 24-30mg.

I would also say a minimum of 10mg. Most cig-a-likes vape at about 4 or 5 watts (power) and even 24mg didn't help me much when I was a smoker.
I get cravings with a 24mg or 30mg cig-a-like, and usually vape 6mg most of the day.
As do I. I was at a 24-30mg when I was using a VV mod that put out between 10-12 watts (up to 4.8 V with a 1.8 ohm coil) and when I moved to higher power, I lowered my nicotine significantly. The juice I have now is 3mg. 6mg is my daily driver, though.

Nic can and Does lead to Addiction. It's that plain, that simple, and that serious.

Chances may be low to slim but,,, The ONLY sure-fire 100% foolproof way to not get Shark Bit; is to stay out of the Ocean.
And don't do Stupid Crap like stick your arm into the Shark Tank at the Zoo and such.
That being said and true, Ultimately up to you and your choice.
Careful though, Jaws might just be lying in patient Wait for the "intellectually challenged".

Thank you for giving me a straightforward answer without all the speech crap.

Hiya guys, relatively new to vaping. Was a pack and a half a day smoker, but when I tried 9mg, my was my head spinning. It's like the feeling you get when you were a teenager having your very first stick of Marlboro reds. Can't imagine going 24mgs. I'm on 6mgs but I'm chain vaping like crazy. Just wanted to ask some of you with plenty of experience; should I go get a higher nic content juice to cut down the amount of times I vape?

Thanks in advance!

my advice would be not to worry about chain vaping. i think everyone does it when they first switch (i definitely did). as you get used to vapor instead of smoke, you'll find that eventually you can go much longer without vaping than you could without cigarettes. for reference, i was a PAD smoker, and now i like to vape, but i have days where the thought of nicotine just never even comes up.

When you are relatively new to switching over from cigarettes to vaping, it does help to keep a special tank with higher strength liquid for occasional use.

I used to keep a small tank of higher strength liquid at home; didn't even use to take it to work

Thanks buddy! Hoping to be the same! I do find myself going for longer periods of time without vaping as compared to when I first got it.

Sounds like a good idea! With higher strength juices I definitely vape less but the buzz that I get from that higher strength juice just makes vaping unpleasant. I'll try and keep on at it and see if it gets better over time. If the buzz doesn't go away then I would just stick to 6mgs. Thanks!
