I might be going against the grain here, and I'll state my opinions first.

First, if you are out for the feel... or Buzz of nicotine, then I'd say stop. It's that buzz that got me addicted. Over time, that buzz will disappear, and you'll increase the nic.. then it will disappear again, then you will increase again. Next thing you know, you're an addict. If you're chasing the buzz, then I'd HIGHLY advise stopping.

Now for the against the grain part.... I think 3mg in a cigalike is about as high as I'd go if I were a non smoker. It's enough not to give a buzz, but enough to get the positive effects of nicotine. This is where you find the shisha pens, for those who just like the flavor. If you go to a more powerful device, I would go even lower. And if you still want to chase the buzz, then I'd say 10-12 mg for me... it's hard to judge being an ex-smoker who has consumed nicotine. Your body replaces that buzz with addiction, So for smokers, they'll need more nicotine than a non smoker... even if they've abstained. They'll still get one, but not as intense.

So when did nicotine become the enemy? What's wrong with being addicted to nicotine or caffeine? Just because its addictive doesn't mean it is bad. Its amazing how strong social movements can be at distorting the issues. tobacco is bad. There is a lot of evidence to suggest nicotine is not that detrimental unless you suffer from certain conditions just like caffeine (an addictive drug OMG).

Hiya guys, relatively new to vaping. Was a pack and a half a day smoker, but when I tried 9mg, my was my head spinning. It's like the feeling you get when you were a teenager having your very first stick of Marlboro reds. Can't imagine going 24mgs. I'm on 6mgs but I'm chain vaping like crazy. Just wanted to ask some of you with plenty of experience; should I go get a higher nic content juice to cut down the amount of times I vape?

Thanks in advance!
I smoked 3 packs a day (or I lit them and inhaled the second hand smoke while they burned out in my ashtray) so I started at 24mg. Waaaay too much for me. I got dizzy and nauseated one night and immediately switched to 12mg. I'm at 6 now. (The only time I almost went back to smoking was when I tried 0mg for a month or so.)

It doesn't matter what level of nicotine I use -- I will chain vape. I am mildly addicted to nicotine but don't need much to satisfy my addiction. I am/always will be very addicted to the activity. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have a cigarette/e-cig to hold, play with, put in my mouth, etc.

I do keep an eGo with an atomizer ready for the occasional hit of 18mg when I need that "wake me up" jolt. I find one or two puffs a couple of times a week does it. And I'm not risking that slippery slope -- I'm only using about 1ml of 18mg every 2 weeks.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah right now, I guess I can say that I will occasionally crave the nicotine. But other than that It's straight up out of habit. Like, in the morning, having my coffee, boredom, watching tv and driving. It doesn't help that I no longer have to crack open a window to vape so that it doesn't stink up the place. Just tried higher nic juice but I think i'm just gonna stick to 6mg. The buzz is unpleasant. I read somewhere in of the threads that using the kangertech subtank mini affects the "strength" of the nic? I probably should've mentioned that I'm using that earlier. Any truth in that?

Thanks again!

it's not the tank itself that affects how strong the nicotine might seem; it is the wattage that you vape at that affects how strong the nicotine might seem.

So the relatively new tanks which have been coming out equipped with high wattage coils tend to seem carry a stronger punch

There is nothing wrong with nicotine. Except the politics.

Imagine a world where a $10 can of coffee was taxed up to $40, maybe far more. Where you could only drink coffee in your own home, it is illegal to drink it in restaurants, at work, even on many city streets and even on walking trails in parks. Where total strangers, seeing you stealth drink some coffee, walk up to you and assault you with things like "you know, that coffee is worse than cigarettes". Your boss at work is the same.
Now, in that parallel universe, would you advise your children to take up coffee drinking?

There's nothing wrong with Nicotine....but as to your example of caffeine, there's nothing wrong with that.. but there IS a point where it can be abused. A cup of coffee in the morning to wake you up, maybe five more cups of coffee during the day and night... no problem. But someone who replaces the coffee with energy drinks.. and drinks six per day... Well, that is a problem. Same with Nicotine. A little can be beneficial, But too much, and you're posing more bad than good... and is really overstepping the beneficial part.

And what, exactly, is particularly bad about chain vaping and maintaining high nic levels?

Although Nicotine is not a carcinogen, it does stimulates the brain that produces Adrenaline. That in turn increases heart rate, and blood pressure. Like Caffeine, if taken in a moderate amounts, it poses no threat or problems. In high amounts, it can be a problem. Exactly how high is too high remains unseen, since there hasn't been enough studies shown. But, that's one limit you shouldn't be testing. I personally see nothing wrong with chain vaping 6 or 12 MG on some devices. But if you chain vape 18 or 24mg in a .5 ohm tank, then I think you might be getting a bit too much nicotine.... not to mention stronger lungs than I have. :)
