The strategy for items listed at EastMall seems to be "buy in bulk" and it looks like the new site is going to continue along that line. While I applaude this method, it shouldn't be the only option.

Yes, I know you make more money if people order more products, but denying the ability to purchase items individually can also hurt your sales. There are times that I would purchased from EastMall but ended up going to a different seller because I didn't want three of x.

Food for thought...

Hi newb , Im thinking for now it will stay. Now when the new site opens, and shipping terms change, this may as well change also.

You getting a package from thousands of miles away, might as well make it full up in the box at the prices.

I dont have any problems with it.. This would have been my second order. Since my first order was well over 35, I did not know.

Its just that I withdrew some money from paypal and left enough for a few packs + shipping thinking it was enough lol..

"might as well make it full up in the box at the prices"

DO YOU WANT MY WIFE TO KILL ME NOW OR LATER? lol jk

I have ordered so much this past week from multiple vendors that our email is flooded with tracking numbers and she freaks out thinking im spending 100's LMAO

At first, I wanted to order just 10 LR Atomizers which is $30 but I could not check them out. So, I added an Indulgence starter kit with PT into my LR atomizers order. Is this EM selling trick?

Of course it is. I had the same problem, but decided to spend my money elsewhere. How dare they dictate to me how much I can spend. Not only is this practice extremely rude, I feel it's also immoral. I hope it bites them in the backside and people turn away like I did.

I will no longer be purchasing anything from EM, they've lost my custom for sure.

$15 shipping $35 minimum order. This may seem unreasonable to some. I will reply with my rant. One year ago I was smoking three packs a day. Ordering from Indians (native Americans) I was spending $250 a month on cigs. Found e-cigs. Ordered them as a toy - $70 for starter 401 $60 for 40 no juice $20 for carts. This $150 would now cost $35 or so. Have I saved money - probably. But I have ordered and ordered. I have 6 months supplies of what I need, yet each order is either $100 of supplies or $200 with a new model. Yes I know some people want to jump in and get a personal amount of inexpensive items. There seem to be more and more groups of Vapers getting together. A larger order among friends would be a solution. This forum seems to have a large number of your fellow Aussies. Pm them. To use derogatory terms in regards to a shipping policy that has benefited the overwhelming majority of customers seems like overkill. Eastmall is not forcing you to buy from them. Free shipping is not free if you pay double. Oh, and Eastmall fun is free (no cover charge).

Paying $15 shipping for $30 of goods looks so silly, Eastmall just help you to use your brain with this minimum order :)

thanks Hidaho,

yes it has been eastmall policy for as long as I have been with them to have a minimum order before checkout.

as you so wisely pointed out,
we try to allow you to see that paying shipping for a small order is rather wasteful,
so we try to guide you to help with a more satisfying purchase to shipping ratio.
:)

yes, DSK,

what you said is so true,

sometimes my fellow Aussie countrymen astound me, ------

but I guess it also depends who they are otherwise supporting too.

Hi Lit,

You might not have realised it at the time of purchase, but you did yourself a huge favour. The indulgence is an awesome PV.8-o I have had mine for a week now, and I can not get enough of it. I went as far as to buy myself another one.

You know that you can not get too much of a good thing.:D

Ok, please understand that at the prices you can get some or most of the items for at eastmall, if we did not have a minimum order at the prices we have, we would not be able to continue this way. As we are in this to supply you with what you desire , as well as to continue to do business.

If we think abuot this, do we want to pay the shipping from China for 10 bucks worth of items ? Makes no sense.

Sorry if this arouses you. Thanks for your input.

This is why EM needs a US distributor. There is a lot if interest in EM's new products - LR attys, 510 cartos, the Stick and the Riva - and the pricing is great, but a $35 minimum order and $15 shipping put off a lot of people who just want to try out something new. A lot of people don't have a minimum of $50 to spend on ecig stuff at one time, let alone to spend on new products that will take 1-2 weeks to arrive and that they may not even like.

Don't get me wrong, I like EM. I like my indulgence and I like the fact that EM is active in the forums, listens to customers, and is trying to get new stuff out there for reasonable prices. But the high shipping charges and inconvenience of waiting for shipping keeps me from ordering from you on a regular basis. I can assure you it is keeping other potential customers from trying your products in the first place.

I really think it is in your best interest to actively seek out a US distributor for your products. Maybe contact some established suppliers - particularly smaller shops who don't have many products yet - and try to work something out. By finding someone who already has a web store with CC processing set up, it would be easier for everyone involved. Perhaps you could do the first order on a commission basis so they wouldn't have to front a large sum for the initial stock. Additional stock orders should have a bulk distributor discount. The distributor wins by making a reasonable markup on sales, EM wins by making their products more easily available (and almost certainly moving a lot more of them), and the customers win by getting cheaper, faster shipping and no order minimums.

Please take this into consideration.

Its a business model, not a morality issue.

Remember cigarettes? Most of us used to spend a significant amount on them every week. Where I live, I can buy a carton of 10 packs at Costco for $65 or a single pack at 7-Eleven for $9.508-o. It might be an interesting argument to insist to the Costco manager that he sell me just a pack or two @ $6.50 each, but in the end he'd justifiably throw me out to the street.

Why don't you just put together a buying group made up of the smokers you've converted and share an order? Considering that you live in a (admittedly beautiful) country with such restrictive e-cig trade laws, you might even save some lives.
