So I got my Apollo LT and a Vivi Nova V2 on Friday of last week. Great combo!!

But I had a minor problem with it initially. When I screwed the tank all the way down, I got NO airflow. I had to unscrew it just shy of 1 full turn to get good airflow.

I took my equipment to Vapor Escence in Fort Worth, TX (great shop BTW) and I talked to them about my problem. One of the guys pulls out a 510 to 510 adapter (about 1/4" tall) and it worked perfectly. I was able to screw the tank all the way down and getting rid of the wobblies.

I would like to find a "shorter" adapter so reduce the space created by the adapter. I can't seem to find anything. Is 1/4" the shortest adapter? Is there another type of adapter I can try that will alleviate the airflow issues?

There is a version 2.5 of the Vivi Nova that just came out (wish I had known and I would have just got the newer version :( ), but don't know if this issue would still exist. I have to believe it will as the 2.5 changes are for the tank material itself and the heads (of which I bought 3 of the V2 heads.....).

Any help would be much appreciated.

I also have an Apollo SS LT.

I got a new E2 Ego clearomizer tank last week. The problem for me is the tank does not screw on at all. I think this is kind of odd since the SS LT has the Ego compatibility. The skirt of my new tank hits the threads where you can screw a Ego cone on.

So anyways...back to the OP's problem. I'm not sure is this will help. I ordered these adapters to help me out, and they are in the mail so I can't tell you how good they are, but I sure hope they work out for me.

Here is a link. V2 510 Shorty Extension- Unsealed

They also have an sealed one but go with the unsealed one. The unsealed one has a hole in the middle to accommodate for the pin. I don't know if they make adapters smaller than this. Maybe someone else can chime in.

That is what I actually have on there now to resolve the problem.

I did find a blog entry by orachel (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ial-apollo-vtube-stainless-chrome-copper.html) that outlines this specific problem. Her suggestion is the 3.5ml Tank Cone. I've got one on order to see if that clears up the problem and removes the additional space created by the 510 to 510 shorty adapter.

Update: I got a SS full size for Father's Day and it arrived yesterday. The v2 had the same problem on that one as well :(

I have 2x v2.5's enroute from GotVapes and hopefully a new(er) tank may resolve the issue. Sailorman indicates that they have moved the airholes back to the knurling and that may fix my problem. I did notice that when screwed all the way down, the bottom of the v2 makes a good seal with the top of the LT so airflow would rightly be cut off :( :(

Hmmmm. I just got my SS V-Tube from Apollo and a couple of Vivi Nova v2 tanks yesterday. The tanks have the tiny air holes in the 510 connector, and the one I've tried vapes great. In fact, if anything, it's a little on the airy side.

This is really confusing that two identical setups (me and capreppy) produce 2 exactly opposite results.

I got the 3.5ml DCT cones in yesterday. Installed them and problem gone. In addition, it eliminated the extra space created by the 510 to 510 connector.

Pappy, I tried a v2 and a v2.5 and both had terrible draw problems. Once an adapter (510 to 510, but ugly or a 3.5ml DCT cone) was installed, the issue went away.

The 3.5ml DCT cone cleans up the top so I don't mind using it.
