Mint Julep - any ideas or suggestions?

So I've got a friend who wants to try to mix up a mint julep flavor.
Any ideas?

As far as I can tell we'd need a good mint flavor and something like a boubon flavor.
Any suggestions on a mint flavoring? All of Lorann's seem to be oil based. I saw that Capella's has a 'cool mint' that seems to be water soluable.

As far as the 'bourbon' part of the equation goes, I know Lorann's has a brandy, but I've never tried it. Would that be close enough?

Also - should he plan on using PGA as part of the mix?
I've never used alcohol in my juice... can you acually taste it, or is it mainly added for the feeling it gives you when you vape it?

Any thoughts/advice/brainstorms are welcome....

Actually Spearmint is what is used in the drink form.
Do not know if that helps or not.
Sorry I know how to make the drink but thats about all, sounds like it would be a great juice if you can get it right!
