So the first week has been a mixed bag o nuts for me vaping in public.
Friends, co workers and a few smokers seem to be gung ho about me doing it, the start up cost seems to reel them back a bit. The one person besides me who I would rather smell vaping is my mom, I have had her live with me for years now and the smell is getting to me. Besides the morning cravings are just about to much for me... I sneak one every now and again from her just like when I was a kid.
So far the worst IPV (In Public vaping) experience I have had was from a local deputy dips****!
Now a bit of back story on him... many moons ago in a high school not far away his bulldog mouth ran up a check his puppy dog .... could not even begin to cash. (yes I was a hot head). So being the hormone driven teenagers we were it ended with a violent outcome with him being on the recieving end of said tude correction.
So on the brisk morning of the 30th I was kicking back enjoying my brew, watching the sun rise and vaping away..
DD as I will call him rolls up and starts in with his smoking with in 10 feet of a doorway speel. I explained I was not smoking and the business said I could vape at the tables. which should have ended his tirad but NOOO.
His doughnut levels must have been REALLY low because that got him all sorts of fired up because next thing I know all 350lbs of his doughnut and ego tripping .... came flying out of that car red faced and screaming directly at me.
I explained again that I was outside not smoking just minding my own business, what a mistake that was.. at least I do not have a fine, got taken to jail nor lost my equipment.
(word of advise folks if you encouter a low doughnut leveled police officer do not calmly justify a thing, just agree with them. Whatever you do, DO NOT OFFER to buy them a doughnut for some reason this enrages them further.)
It does seem that he holds a grudge after all these years.
So a bit later I was outside adding to the clouds, when I had my next run in with an anti-vaper. This one is a bit harder to swallow, why?
Simple he has given the majority of the use of his arms for this country, and he chain smokes.
Much love for veterans in all branches here, we tend to stick together.
But even after sheddng so much blood and getting crapped on by the federal run around he is still in the mindset that they know best for us.
We did agree to disagree, he smokes logs I will vape and stay off the logs.
The majority of people are seeing a me quit and not being unbearable, so ya as I said its a mixed bag o nutz.
Not all have been positive but the majority have been funny as hell!
Like the non smokers who make the coughing noises and carry on like I am smoking, and it dawns on them that I am not.. I just laugh.
