Can someone explain to me why nic strengths are catagorized different with different venders? some say 12 is "medium" some say it is "high" some say 24 is "high" some say it is "extra high" while and 18 is "high for that vender, yet for another an 18 is Med and 12 is Low.....really just want to know if they can classify how ever the want to or if you are actually getting strong nic in the ones that call a 24 extra high against one that calls 24 high

Hope that makes since I want to work my way down the scale but kind of hard when different venders call my strength -low or medium :)

Thanks in advance:blush:

its just description they put on it. I have seen venders that have upwards of 34mg as "high". I think it is personal preference. When I first started I tried to figure out what would give me the same as my regular smokes but came across this.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ette-vs-e-cigarette-nicotine-equivalency.html

When I started I bought small bottles to test flavors and some 24, 18, 12 mg strengths. 24 was a little rough for me and I ended up at 18 for most juices.

I tell new people that you need to remember it's your nicotine/time!! Not just the total mgs in the carto/juice. When you find a range you like if you are going to be vaping infrequently on "breaks" like a cig err on the high side. If you are planning on vaping a ton, err on a lower side. ECF people like to talk about the nic range to keep you 'satisfied' but understand it's how much you intake! Hitting a 12mg carto 25 times in 10 min with your coffee>>>>>>hitting a 36 mg carto twice. So bear in mind that your vaping habits controls your nic intake far more than the posted carto strength!

Thanks everyone. I have been using 12 mg also have some 6 and 0. I knew what my cig nic intake was so figured 12 was a good starting place. I have since purchased a couple of 18 mg samples for those " i just don't seem to be getting the fix i need" moments ( usually morning vape)
Like i said my goal is to stop vaping as well so just wanted to make sure i was getting same levels of nic across the board as i move down levels.
As for the number of hits i take it's always the same 12 period that was how many puffs i took off a cig and i only allow myself to vape every 1.5-2 hrs ( same as cigs) again keeping same routine because the goal is to quit at some point for me personally.
