Mixing and matching extension caps

Has anybody tried a silver chrome extension cap on a black chrome body, or vice versa, or any combination of the 3, well now 4, with the gold, but we'll leave that out for now. I'd like to see some pics, if anyone has created any frankenvaris of the sort. In my mind, I think the chrome silver and black chrome provaris would exchange parts nicely, let me know...thanks!

I will be receiving my black chrome provari with a silver chrome extension cap once the finishing is done (delay sets delivery a few weeks away) but I figure it will look nice. The top of the black chrome provari is silver, and unless there is some sort of mad ploy to prevent interchangeability (sp) I can't see why it wouldn't work just fine.

I like the idea of matching top/bottom cap, now I just need to figure out whether I want a black or chrome dripshield and driptip to finish it off.

I think the gold would look decent on either model if the top cap were gold, but as they can't gold plate the part with the threads I do not see this being a customization option. Gold/black/gold would look pretty rad IMO.

I would be happy to take pictures and show when it eventually arrives, but I'm sure someone has tried this and is lurking around!
