Hi Guys, before the TPD i was buying 250ml drip hacks bottle shots and mixing them zero nicotine at 75VG/25PG @ 20% flavor then I would add between 3/6 mg of nicotine after as both me and my partner have different strengths, after adding the nicotine we wasn't far off 70VG/30PG mix as we was using high mg nicotine so it wasn't diluting it too much.

Now i cant work out for the life of me what sort of mix i need to do now we have 18mg shots ideally i would like to carry on mixing the full 250ml bottle at zero nicotine then adding it after like before as this works better for us with different strengths but with the 18ml nic shes adding 10ml to her 30ml bottles and its wartering it down on the flavour way too much the bottle shots we have are 50/50 mix.

I am guessing (because you mention the TPD) that you are in Europe somewhere (your profile doesn't indicate). I am in the U.S. and the terms you are using are not familiar to me. I tried to do a little research and I "think" I have it figured out. Let me see if I have got it correct:
  • "Drip Hacks" is a brand name? (Home)
  • "Bottle Shots" are pre-measured flavor concentrates, that are meant to have the entire contents used at one time, and intended to be diluted with a predetermined amount of nicotine concentrate, VG, and PG, to reach a specific volume at your preferred nicotine strength, and PG/VG ratio?
  • The Bottle Shot itself is 50PG/50VG?
  • Yours, and your partner's, preferred dilution (where it tastes best for both of you) is diluted to 20% of the original (bottle) strength?
  • The Nicotine concentrate you are using is 18mg/mL strength before dilution?
  • Both you AND your partner prefer a PG/VG target/goal at/near 30PG/70VG?
  • One of you prefers finished nicotine strength at/about 3mg/mL; and the other prefers their nicotine at/near 6mg/mL?
A couple of follow-up questions if all of that is correct (please correct anything that I misstated;)):
  • What is the carrier base ratio of for your nicotine (PG/VG ratio)? 100% PG, 100% VG, or some ratio?
  • What materials are you using (besides the nicotine) to dilute? Are you using separate PG and VG, or are you using a PG/VG combination? If it is a combination (all-in-one); what is its PG/VG ratio?
With the info you have given so far (that your partner is adding 10mL of 18mg/mL nic to 30mL of previously diluted 0mg/mL flavor) she is diluting the flavor by 33.3% and ending up with 4.5mg/mL nic strength.

To achieve 6mg/mL nic strength, she needs to either: add 10 mL of the 18mg/mL nic concentrate to only 20mL of diluted flavor (which will then be even further diluted/"watered down"), OR add 15ml of the 18mg/mL nic concentrate to the original 30ml of diluted flavor (again further diluting the flavor). Either one of these will result in a 6mg/mL result but with a weaker flavor.

The only way to combat the weaker flavor is to reduce the original dilution to compensate for the greater dilution of the weaker nicotine concentrate. How to adjust that primary dilution, and arrive at/near your desired PG/VG ratio, will depend on how you answer my two follow-up questions above.:toast:
