I have a e-liq mixing question: I'm using the ejuice me up calculator I bought a bottle of flavor-it-yourself 48mg nicotine with 100% Propylene Glycol I also bought a bottle of Monster 30ml bottle it says it has PG and VG 36mg of nicotine I want to make 4- 10ml bottles at 24mg each using the ejuice Me Up calculator should I add both the Nicotine totals 48mg + 36mg = 84Mg in the Nicotine Strength e-juice box to get my Target strenght of 24mg.I just don't want to vamp 84mg on nicotine and die

I'm new to juice mixing too, and not very good at math, so I just have a comment and a suggestion.

Comment: Logic tells me that your simplest solution is to get some 0mg juice to cut the stronger stuff with. (one ml 0mg + one ml 48mg = 2 ml 24mg) Somebody, anybody, correct me if I'm wrong...

Suggestion: When you have your 5 posts, check out the DIY juice forum. I'm sure you'll find answers there.

Good luck, and be careful!

You have:

Nicotine in PG at 48 mg
Flavored juice at 36 mg

OK, you can not make 24 mg juice by mixing these two ingredients. The least nicotine you can have is the flavored juice at 36 mg. The more of the 48 mg nic you put in the mix, the more nic the juice will have.

You need to buy some no nic PG and/or VG to add to reduce the nic level. That will of course also reduce the flavor.

No, it does not work that way. 'Target Nicotine Strength' is simply the strength of the end result, your finished e-juice. In your case that is 24.

eJuice me up does not allow inputting 2 liquids with nicotine content. You will have to decide how you want to mix your liquids and then do the math yourself to figure out the nic level.

For DIY you need:
Flavorless Nicotine juice- base can be PG and/ or VG. If wanting 24 mg then 48 mg Flavorless will suffice- you have this.
Flavoring/ concentrated (with no nicotine)- you don't have this
PG and VG with NO nicotine- bought at local pharmacy- you don't have this
I also bought a bottle of Monster 30ml bottle it says it has PG and VG 36mg of nicotine
This sounds like pre made ready to vape juice- dilute it and the flavor suffers.

Cut the 48 mg stuff in half with the no-nic PG and VG that you need to get. You will have 24 mg because 24 is 1/2 of 48.

Cut the 36 mg stuff ...2/3 rds of a bottle of 36 and 1/3 of a bottle of the PG & VG stuff that you need to get. Because 2/3rds of 36 is 24.

Shake well.

Note the "PG & VG stuff that you need to get" can include a few drops of flavoring.

You need to seriously think about the math on this stuff and think about what you are doing. There's no way you could mix 48 mg and 36 mg and get 84 mg. So you're not thinking about it. Use caution. The calculators only help you so far.

If you want to stay with 24 mg for now...just get 48 mg and cut it in half with zero nic stuff.

Shake well.

3380, you've gotten some good advice above.

As an aside there is going to be a vape meet-up in Greenfield on June 15th and another one on the south side of Indy in July. There will be DIY mixers at both of these that know the math. It might be another way to get some face time and info for nothing more than the gas it takes to get there. (The Greenfield one will even have grilled food for nothing too.)

I'll be at both, Details for vape meets in the state of Indiana can be found in the links in my signature. (Some folks think I know a thing or two about DIY mixing so feel free to ask me anything at a meet. You can't miss me, I'll be the the big guy that people call Hoosier.)

Can't believe you d/l ejuicemeup and didn't read up on how to use it. For future reference here is the how-to-use link

The OP is about an hour away from me. I live near Kokomo and go to Indy about once a week so it's not that much of a trip. (Except for the US31 construction activity, but that's been annoying for a few years and still has a few more years to go until they get the whole thing up to interstate spec's.)

Seems the OP logged off ECF about 40 minutes after posting the question and hasn't logged back on. Could be lurking or could have RL time demands and hasn't had a chance to come back and read most of the responses.

Hopefully the OP can find the thread and get up to speed as a mixer.

this is hurting my melon....did you mean no way you could mix 48 and 36 and get 24?

The basic equation for dilution (taking a higher concentration solution and reducing the concentration is:

VolumeA x ConcentrationA = VolumeB x ConcentrationB

Rearrange the equation and you can calculate one of the above numbers if you know the other three:
VolumeA = (VolumeB x ConcentrationB)/ConcentrationA
ConcentrationA = (VolumeB x ConcentrationB) / VolumeA
VolumeB = (VolumeA x ConcentrationA)/ConcentrationB
ConcentrationB = (VolumeA x ConcentrationA) / VolumeB

If you want 10mL of 24mg(/mL) and have 48mg(/mL):

(10mL x 24mg/mL) / 48mg/mL = 5mL; Take 5mL of 48mg/mL and dilute it to 10mL to make 24mg/mL.

To dilute a concentrated solution you will need (as has been noted) a solution without the compound (nicotine) in it.

Then we get into flavoring concentrations :rolleyes: :D
