So my friend upgraded her vape and decided to give me her old one. I usually use 8 mg nicotine. The vape she gave me had a little under half of the e juice she had been using in it which was 24 mg nicotine. I decided to mix it with 0 mg to make it more bearable. I just tried to take a puff and it nearly burned my throat out. When will the 24 mg even out with the 0 mg so I can enjoy the vape?

It's simple math...

You need to mix 1/4 of the 24mg, to 3/4 of 0mg to get 8mg.
(so for example: 20ml, that would be 5ml of the 24mg, and 15ml of the 0mg)

But you have to make sure that it's very well mixed.

I know the math but there was already vape juice in there I did not put both e juices in a just added the 0mg. I am fine with it being a little over 8mg I just can’t smoke the pure 24mg. The first couple hits were just as strong as when it was just 24mg juice in there. I’m just wondering if it’s because it takes a little while of smoking for the pure 24mg vape juice to completely leave the coils and the mixed vape juice to enter.

Well, the easiest way is to simply empty the tank and refill with what works for you.

As far as the coil and how much is in it, that's just a question of time that the liquid that's in it will be used and replaced...

Note that if this is a cartridge coil, you might be better to simply replace it, as it might also be used enough that it might be old and harsh to use at this point.

You can try and blow into it, (the vapour will exit via the airfeed) but make sure that you don't get a mess doing it, that would clear out the stronger liquid that's in the coil without you choking yourself.

Alright thanks so much! I’m kind of new to this so I’m still trying to figure out what to do. Really appreciate the help.
no problem.. it's a given that some cartridges can hold a LOT of liquid in them (the larger ones), a good 1 to 2ml if not more, and that could take even a few tanks full to work it's way to diluted what's in it to comfortable levels.
