Wanting to start making my own juice and had this thought: Would it work to mix the percentages of my various flavors, for a given recipe, then add the balance a pre mixed V.G.70-P.G.30
As an example Strawberry TFA 0.8 mil Sweet Cream (TPA) 0.3 mil then the pre-mix to make 10 mil.
I don’t use nicotine and my shop made juices range from 50/50 to 80/20 mixes. So I’m wondering if this would work or would the pg in the flavors alter the taste significantly

When I first started out with my DIY, I found it easiest to create a recipe on a juice calculator first. The recommended percentage for Strawberry is 3-15%. Sweet Cream 5-10%. Most people recommend starting out with your juice having a 20% flavoring. I myself, started out lower and added if I thought it needed it. It is all pretty much experimenting with what your own taste buds like at first.

Here is the calculator I prefer using. (you will just need to put 0 for the nic)

Good luck to you and happy mixing.

Ditto to what was stated above. Also, it doesn't matter when or how you mix your flavors and bases or in what. Do whatever is convenient for you. If all you have is a graduated cylinder then use that. However, I would suggest is buying some syringes (1ml & 10ml) and some droppers. Likely going to make your life easier...

Easy killa!!! It does matter when and how, and whatever is convenient is not always the best. I suggest developing a method that will ensure that you always get the same results. I use graduated cylinders like this: First nic(if you don't use nic, then skip this), then flavor, and then my PG/VG mix. Flavors and nic are usually carried in PG, VG, or Alcohol so make sure you take this into account to compensate with your filler.
I always put nic and flavoring first. This is important to me because this way I always get the % right of what's important. And if I run out of space, at least my main ingredients will be right.
If you develop a method that works for you, then I would suggest sticking to it. This way if you make a mistake you can always backtrack. Remember, this is a new industry and there are no experts here. Some of us have been at it for a while, and the more we learn the more we realize how little we really know.
As you read my post you will find that I use "me" and "my" a lot. That is because these are things that pertain to or work for me. They may not work for you.
But I hope they do.

An interesting statement, especially since the OP doesn't even use nicotine! It's not the Lunar landing and i'd argue that we have been mixing things together for a great deal of time, and indeed i am allowed to make my own coffee.

Since all the ingredients are FDA approved, it ought to be possible to taste or even drink the resulting juice without harm.
