Mixing & matching Atomizers

Does anyone know of - or read about the atty compatibility between e-cig models. Reason for question: I use a Dura-C - the atty works fine for about a month, then starts acting funny on the pass-thru (vapor only on every other drag). SO I'm thinking gradual failure. At 18 bucks a pop, that's pretty steep. I was wondering about alternat mfg atomizers that might be compatible with Dura-C batts and carts.

unixian...I think any 510 atomizer/battery is compatible with the Dura C...same e-cig, just a different brand name.

Smoking Everywhere is interchangeable with 510 so I guess that makes it interchangeable with Dura C too.

I have ran into problems mixing and matching a couple of 901 batteries and atomizers from different companies. Some atomizers would only work with particular batteries.

I got a 510 atty from them and it works as well as my Janty with a minimal taste difference. I also got a few 401's so that I can use my dead 510's attys as connectors for new mods(working on a new one now). When the 401's die I will have connectors for some more 510 mods. With 7 and 8 dollar attys and free shipping you can't go wrong.
