Mixing menthol quirks

Okay, so I ordered a couple starter kits and blank cartos from halo to try to kick my mother off cigarettes with something familiar.

Thing is, she smokes menthol and I wanted to give her something close to what she's used to. A lot of the menthol ejuice is just that: mint or menthol with no tobacco. I have some menthol concentrate from tmaxx, so I ordered a highly rated tobacco.

Now on to my issue. After a certain level of adding the menthol, it loses the menthol tobacco taste and begins to taste like nothing at all.

15ml juice, 1 drop menthol : Barely there, still taste tobacco
15ml juice, 2 drops menthol: Getting better, not quite the amount she likes
15ml juice, 3 drops menthol: Flavorless. Taste the carto more than the juice

I am at a loss here! I have repeated this twice on a total of 6 blank cartos in case the first run had an issue somewhere. Anyone have any idea what the heck is going on?

Maybe you can add koolada.

I may have figured it out. I microwaved the mixture for a few seconds and gave it another good shake, then cooled it down in a bowl of water. The flavor started coming through again, but it needs more menthol still it seems. Which is shocking!

It only takes 2 drops of this stuff in 30ml of 6mg juice for subohm vaping before becoming way way too strong. It would seem higher resistance requires more potent menthol?

I found mints and menthol finicky at times to be able to repeat the same as you had before. I don't bother with menthol but do like mint. Its exactly the same for me, you either get not enough or cough syrup there is no real happy medium. I just make mints out of my tobacco vapes as I feel like. 20mls of 4% Hangsen tobacco vape and 2% mint then vape it till its gone or till I get tired of it. Loranns Creame du Menthe is what I like but haven't tried many others to really compare too. I have a FW spearmint but it gets a chemical taste that doesn't appeal to me.
