Hi all,

When i bought my 510 cart fed, the guy in the shop told me that a 5ml bottle = 50+ analogue cigarettes. Which in truth a 5ml bottle did last a while in that type of system but the taste was'nt very strong. SO i switched to a tank system with a low atty now Im eating juice like no tomorrow but the flavour is very good. So how many analogues would you say 1ml of juice is equal to in a tank fed system:confused:

There isn't really a comparison. All the charts are a big waste of time. No one even can agree how much nicotine we actually get from the liquid, many say 30-50% others say as low as 10%.

If your goal is to get off cigarettes, vape enough that you're able to do that. The average amount is around 3-5ml per day. The average strength is 18-24 mg.

It truly varies immensely. After being a PAD smoker, I ran about 3 ml/day vaping fairly consistently. Five months ago I bumped to a variable voltage mod, I now use about 6 ml/day consistently. I don't believe I'm vaping much more, per se, but the increased power (8 - 9W now, vs. more typically 4.5 - 5W before) runs through more eliquid. Vaping at higher power is definitely more pleasant, to me, well worth using more liquid.

Same here, as I'm sure everyone that interacted with a brick-and-mortar sales rep. I was told my eGo tank was nearly equivalent to a pack of smokes. Needless to say, I was freaking out a few days later when I went from a pack-a-day on analogs to vaping THREE OR FOUR "packs" on my PV.

Several discussion threads on this topic. The main consensus is that the nicotine absorption rate is different than with analogs. Several topics discuss on getting more nicotine absorbed (longer hits, holding it in, breathing out through the nose, etc.)

Here's how I look at it - My entire purpose for vaping is to stop the death sticks. There's nicotine in the juice, which I've kept at a 24mg, and has been successful at keeping me from even thinking about cigs. I notice that I can vape in different ways, such as the cigarette break style, where you vape 10 or so hits and then put it down for an hour. Or, I can constantly hit the PV. I don't seem to get the same "overload" feeling that you might get from smoking three analogs in a row. The nic is sufficiently in my bloodstream, my mood is normal, and I'm not thinking of analogs.

But I can't see a 1ml to 10 analog comparison... wouldn't we start feeling sick or overloaded from vaping so much? I'm not a scientist, but would think it gets back to the discussion of absorption rates (and also additional crud/chemicals from the burning ciggies).

WHOA WHOA WHOA?!?!?!
my bottle of ejuice is a 4-5ml bottle. Are you saying you used 3ml of fluid a day in a PV? I'm newer to this as to refilling deal but I'd say a 4-5ml bottle would last maybe 7 days?

Paul, it all depends on you. The higher power you go, the faster you go through juice.

Vape as much as you want. Let your body tell you when enough's enough. Craving an analog? Vape away that craving. Keep going until your craving subsides (but do listen to your body if you're getting palpitations, headaches, etc). If it takes 1 or 2ml, knock yourself out I say. It's keeping you off the cig.

I was about a 1/2 PAD, I'm using <6mg (I'm eyeballing my mixtures) and use less than 2ml/day. That's me. Whatever works for you. If you find yourself vaping too much for your liking, and it's getting costly, look into DIY.

Good luck and welcome.

Yes, 3 ml and 6 ml are real numbers :) I DIY, 60 ml of vanilla tobacco every 10 days (I really should just bump to 120 ml mixing). I use a 6 ml dropper bottle, it's at or near empty when I refill for the next day. Based on the large number of other vapers I've run across on ECF it sounds like my numbers are within the zone that a lot of ex-PAD types fit into, around 2 - 3 ml/day on standard batteries, jumping quite a bit on HV.

PAD = Pack A Day smoker. VV = variable Voltage pv. Mine adjusts between about 3.3 and 5.5 volts, I tend to run it between about 4.5 and 5.2V. Up around 8W is a sweet spot that many people like for vaping, you get a nice combination of warmth/flavor/vapor.
A low cost way to experience high voltage is with a true passthrough (no inline battery or regulator) and 2A USB power supply, runs $20 - $25 total. Put a 3 ohm cartomizer or atomizer on it and you'll be near that 8W sweet spot. Though a 2A power supply lets you go down to 2.5 ohms, I find that it tends to be a bit too hot (near 10W power), except for some very specific liquids; if you go too high on power liquid tends to taste burnt, actually lose flavor.
Sorry for the brief hijack, a bit of background on power and PVs :)

Tanks and mods use more juice - and everyone's different in terms of liquid consumption. I have a KR808D-1 and I'd say that I use less than 2 mls per day. In my case, the estimate from the guy in the shop was right.
