Any players here? If so, what game(s)?

I started out with DAOC and stuck with that for about 2.5 years... mostly played Midgard with a 50 Shadowblade (botted, of course), 50 Shaman (full Cave with some Mend), and a 50 Warrior. Pulling Disciples and Executioners outside Gjalpinulva's lair was both horribly boring and awesome at the same time. Also ran a 50 Nightshade until I quit when I couldn't stand ToA (couldn't pay me to play an Alb, they were total asses on my server).

Tried WoW, thought it was too Disney-ish and ......ed. Haven't had a chance to play Warhammer, way too busy.

Although I'm tempted to now :D

Started out with DAoC here too actually. Played Alb on Palomides (friar) for quite a little while, but left the game when ToA came out. Eventually came back to the game, but left due to finishing up schooling and what not.

Tried Warhammer, but recently closed my account as EA's completely gutted the Mythic crew and it was I believe, as the internet meme goes, an Epic Fail. Giving Aion a try but the whole graphics style is really tough to get over, but at least it seems to play a lot like DAoC did, so we'll see ;).

Aaaaah... damn. Had high hopes for Warhammer; it seemed like the natural successor to DAOC. With all its shortcomings, it was still a damn good game. Guess I'll bide my time until a playable version of Star Wars Galaxies comes out :D

A lot of people had high hopes for Warhammer, but it was just a disaster. They tried to retain the PvP aspect of DAoC but make it easier and more casual to play than WoW on top of requiring a beastly system to run it. They basically lost sight of what made DAoC fun while at the same time trying to borrow ideas liberally from WoW. Though I can't really blame them for that last bit, as WoW did blatantly rip off the Warhammer franchise ;).

I run a WoW Alliance raiding guild on the Sen'jin realm named Redemption. Been playing on and off since closed beta, but it's been my main game since February of last year after SWG finally drove me away in a fit of nerd rage.

MHR7331, Star Wars: The Old Republic looks promising. It's not going to be like SWG was at its launch (and SWG will never become playable again, IMHO), but it looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun.

Lord of the Rings Online and Champions Online are my diversion games right now. Both are very immersive. LotRO feels like Tolkien's world, and Turbine did a very good job of making you feel like part of the epic storyline without actually making you one of the main characters. Champions Online still has its issues, as it just launched recently, but the character creation is extremely deep, and the look of the game and the gameplay itself feels like you are participating in a comic book. Where City Of Heroes felt like WoW with a new skin, this game's design does a very good job of making you feel like a superhero. They even have a nemesis feature. When you hit level 25, you can design a nemesis for your superhero, complete with minions, backstory, and the like, that will pop up from time to time and try to thwart your heroism.

Oh, and I should be starting Star Trek Online closed beta soon. If that game lives up to my expectations, it may be the one to make me put Blizzard down for quite a while, if not permanently.

Let me know if it's any good, I may want to play. :)

I started MMOs with Ultima Online. Played that for years. From there I went to Star Wars: Galaxies. Since then I've played a lot of them. CoH/CoV, EQ, EQ2, Vanguard, AoC, EVE, and WoW. There were others, but UO, SW:G, and WoW were the ones I played most.

I haven't played in about 6 months or so. Kinda taking a break from gaming.

I played DAoC for a long time as well. I stuck to the co-op server. Necromancer was my favorite.

I tried Warhammer. Lost interest in it.

I have a lifetime account ($200 on time fee, no monthly fees) on LOTR now. Graphics are excellent. A nice feature is a mail system. You can transfer coin or items to your other toons without another players help. Crafting is more detailed. But it is no where near what DAoC was. You have to do quests to get any leveling done. Grinding just doesn't get anywhere.

Played DAoC, hubby got me into it, was my first MMO. Ended up with 3 accounts between us, one for him one for me and a bot account :p Played a Bainshee first then got into the Vamp (Yes I played after ToA)
Got into WoW after that and played for about 2 years, the newest x-pac has killed it for me.
Playing Aion now, love it, except PC problems today have stopped me playing it

I started MMORPG with Asherons call. Then AC2(they WTF screwed it up) so i went back to d2/sc waiting for WOW. Since Wow i tryed warhammer but the endgame just really sucked even for pvp it was no match for Wow watch burning crusade was added. and now that wrath of the lich king is out. I don't think there will ever be a MMORPG to top the endgame raiding content. I'm just not sure what's going to happen it almost looks like starcraft2 and the new Wow X-pack will drop near the same time and i honestly have no clue what i am going to do!!!! so confusing. I guess it doesn't matter cause in a year or 2 when Diablo 3 comes out it will be the killer of all games ever!!!!!
