Officially MMV will soon be releasing an adapter so that the TNS works Hybrid on the Nanos....
unofficially you can use the TNS in Hybrid mode with the Nanos by using some magnets on your battery for now ;)

Danger! Danger! who said that? Dr? No it was the flaming robot.

Have to keep an eye on this thread. Got my Nanos this Thursday. Loving it. Ordered a bunch of more stuff today. Another button, brass cap, satin 18500 tube, brass 18350 tube and a couple of connectors and extensions.

Great mod! Excellent locking mechanism! And loving the fact that you can "build your own" from spare parts only without paying a whole lot extra. Got exactly the one I wanted for €85 instead of €79 if I bought a "stock" one. Satin cap, satin tube and brass button. That's worth €6 extra for me.

Two thumbs up for MMVapor.

I have a question, and its more out of curiosity: Why is this noted regarding the Nanos?

"Be advised that the Nanos is not suitable for setups below 0.5 ohm! This has to do with the magnets in the switch, if the magnets get over 120 degrees Celsius (248 Fahrenheit) they will lose their magnetic properties."

I have a Nanos, and can't for the life of me figure out this statement... First off, I run mine at .5ohms and don't have any plans for running it any lower. BUT... I can't imagine why i couldn't on my Nanos. I get that the magnets lose their magnetic properties at 120C... but i can't imagine the switch reaching those kind of temperatures JUST because I went, lets say, .3ohms... Under normal operating conditions, the switch should never even come close to that kind of temperature regardless of ohms. Of course, a dead short or other battery failure could certainly cause an issue...but that can happen on a 1.2ohm setup as easily as a .5ohm set up... and its a totally different scenario than simply running below .5ohm.

Am I missing something? Is there something inherently different on the Nanos that does not like to be below .5ohms?

I've also heard someone say that Poldiacs don't run sub-ohm, etc... and yet, i run my V1 at .5ohms with the original (non-peek ketron) plastic parts and have never had an issue... again, I can't imagine a scenario other than shorts and/or battery failure which would limit my builds..

Any thoughts?..

Experienced users should not have problems. But MMV wants to be on the side of caution and warn users about the temperature thing.

And Yes I run my Poldiac Classic with Delrin with a 0.6 ohm setup without problems too ;)
But MMV does get word back from people that are able to melt their plastics unfortunately and yes that is because of bad setups and shorts.

MiriamWTH, thanks for this info.
I thought MMV was just being safe with the .5 ohm limit. If the switch on the Nanos was getting anywhere close to 120 degrees Celsius I think a user would know it before they damaged the magnets. They would not be able to hold the mod in their hand well before it reached this temp.
Thanks again for keeping up updated on all the technical facts on MMV products.

Thanks Miriam.

And by the way, will replacement magnets be available for the Nanos? I haven't had the need or desire to disassemble the switch as of yet... but just in case a magnet breaks (as does happen when disassembling magnetic switches sometimes) I'd like to know that i'm able to get replacements. I'm refraining from taking apart the switch until i have spare magnets in my hand! lol.

The switch is made so, that you have to try really hard to break the magnets. Actually, don't be afraid and disassemble swith by yourself, I'm 100% sure you won't break anything and will be surprised how genius Jim is ;)

Ok... blind trust..

Wow... very nicely thought out switch! I've been itching to disassemble it! Its very nice to own something so creatively designed and well executed! and yes... "genius" is about the only appropriate term that comes to mind!

Lol guys!
Thank you so much for your good words!
Let me explain some things!
Under 0.5 tha amps can hot the device over 120celcius if it is firing continusly!
Thats all about this worning!
I have crazy friend using the Nanos with 0,06 ohm!
No problem!
Only by mistake if we drain a battery!
I feel so Honored with your words!
Thank you so much!
