Hi fellas.

I'm lookin' for a model (probably a mod) that meets simple requirements:
1. Nice flavour extraction (better than eGo at least).
2. Has tank (i'm too lazy for drip).
3. Maintained atomizer (not neccessary, but i found them more suitable for p.1 - maybe i'm wrong).
4. REALLY EASY to maintain.

Now i'm trying to use one of our russian mods but i spend more time trying to seal tank to prevent leaks and solder contacts to get some voltage on spiral than actually viping.

Appearance/price isn't really an issue. I'd rather vipe expensive bamboo-stick-looking mod than go back to analogs every odd day.

From restless russia with love, thanks in advance :2cool:

Hi Jesterson and welcome to ECF. F
rom restless russia with love
LOL that takes me back to the James Bond days.
I use a mechanical (Don) mod with a SmokTech Mega 1.5 DC Cartos and there's very little refilling to be done. Have been looking into getting a tank for it. I really like the mechanical Mods but if I were you I might take a look at the VV Mods. Maybe a Christmas Sale soon?? My Provari is nice but a little too expensive. Apparently there's a new VV Megalodon soon to be released and call me crazy but I just may get it as the Don has been an impressive workhorse.
Happy Vaping, Vapoor.

Infinity Pro, another, but equally good, notcigs (Buzz) product, should be carried in Europe pretty soon by liberty flights' UK store. I use his PVs with the notcigs M1A1 cartomizer tank -- you can either buy prepunched cartomizers or punch/slot your own.

Otherwise there are various popular models with feed systems. I believe Reo has a really solid following, some beautiful hand-crafted wooden mods that have an eliquid bottle and feed tube within the box.

Here is the mods database - in Browse By Feature you can also search by country. And if you search by the the Liquid Feeders feature it will also show some of the many tank mods. Currently the most popular tanks, carto tank mods take a whole pre-punched or pre-slotted Boge or dual coil carto (depending on the tank) right down the middle and the carto is surrounded with liquid.

I know Cloud 9 Vaping in the UK has the Apex Ultra mod and may have some tanks.

Doh, guys, thanks for the information, really.

In fact, i'm looking for more hands-on opinions. So, like, REO is the winner for now :)
I've red two first pages of "If the REO is your first mod" thread but still got some dumb questions:
1. All i need to start vipe on this mod is some 510 atoms (LR? non-LR?), drip tips and 18650 batteries (aiming for REO Grand)?
2. When the liquid goes off i just pop another bottle and continue viping? So, bottle is like bottom-feed-tank?

PS: dormouse, i'll surely check this DB when our local "revolt" will settle down :)
PPS: Vapoor eyes er, in Soviet Russia YOU take James Bond to the old days! (((;
PPPS: feel free to mock me for my sorry english :)

You're very welcome and your English is perfect. Yep the REO is a good choice but I have no experience with it so I'll bow out and wish you the very best.
Happy Vaping, Vapoor.
P.P.P.S. Am I dating myself

PoliticallyIncorrect, i'm lazy to drip not because of measurement issues, it's constant refilling that bumps me out. What's the deal with bottom-feedeers? Currently viping on poorly made tank (non-transparent) - no issues besides poorly made almost-impossible-to-seal tank :)

tj99959, thanks for the info, but i'm soooo not into DIY, especially in nicotine-consuming department. Some may even say that my hands grow 3ft below my shoulders (;

That's pretty much it. :) You will want LR atomizers, and you might want to order some cartomizers too. I don't change the bottle, just unscrew it and refill. The REO does not leak. It is like dripping from the bottom. When you would normally drip onto the atomizer, you lightly squeeze the bottle instead. It is all mechanical, and very little can go wrong, but if you order one, go ahead and order a replacement tube and spring, or ask Rob to put together an overseas repair kit. If anything happens, it is easy to fix.

mlinky, thanks. I think i'll go with REO. Any advice on good cartomizers? (also, why on the earth i'll need 'em :) )
madjack, it's basically a eGo with accumulator and cartomizer tank?

btw, why REO's almost a hundred bucks higher than e-power w/cart-tank? any customer value added besides nice looks (although really nice looks :) )?

If you don't mind cartos, just that your tank is junk, there are some good tanks out.

I use a notcigs m1a1, works with any standard diameter stainless steel carto. It is a clear tank with good end caps, zero leak problems over 3 months of heavy use.

I prefer ikenvape cartomizers, he is an ecf supplier, had a forum area here. I've also had good luck with normal boge cartomizers.

...the E-Power is definitely NOT and eGO...it just has a similar look, it is a mod with a drop in 14650batt(batt drops in like a flashlite)...add a LR cartomizer(accumulator???) and the tank I showed and have hours of fiddle free vaping...the diff in prices reflect a hand made custom(the REO) versus a mass produced model(the E-Power)...it is your rouble, spend it like ya want...

Yes, good question. Getting a premium bottom-feeder like a REO and screwing a cartomizer into it is like buying a Formula One race car, then replacing the power train with a 4-cylinder Volkswagen engine & manual transmission.

If what you're trying to do is power a carto, the REO is a mis-fit. There's any number of more appropriate, variable-voltage powerplants (Buzz Pro, Infinity Pro, et al), but if a wooden mod appeals to you, this is it: Mark-7 - Red Sky Mods

The Reo Grand can use atties or cartos. I've used both on it with no problems (although I use standard res atties all the time). The Grand is so easy to use. Put juice in your bottle, pop a fresh battery in, screw on your preffered atty or carto(+ drip tip) and vape. Customer service is great. Rob really stands behind his product.

The Grand is a solid mod with a loyal following. It is the only e-cig I own right now and don't need another (although I am buying a pipe because I just want one). Everyone here has their own opinions on what is the best. My opinion is the Reo Grand can't be beat. You've made a great choice in a mod. Now you just need to decide what color you want. Good luck and stop by the subforum for a chat.
