Hello
Sorry if im not posting in the best place.

I'm relativley new to vaping. I'm intrested in a variable volt mod. I was thing about running the Silver Bullet at 6v. I noticed that Altsmoke has a disclaimer that states that if you stack bat's or run the SB at 6v's you do it at your own risk and you will void the warranty. Im concerned about dropping $85 on this mod and breaking it somehow. It seems that a lot of people stack bat's at 6V's without a problem.

1.Is it a bad idea to do this?
2.Why does everyone do this even though Altsmoke says not to?
3.how can i do this safely?

Any and all help is greatley :D

I used an Omega at 6v for 8 months with no problem (2 rcr123a's stacked). I now use a VV device that uses stacked batteries as well. It does have built in safety features though.

1. There is a potential for damage but most batteries available are either protected or use safe chemistry to make it safer.
2. Because we can. lol Seriously though, some people find 3.7v lacking and want a bit more of a kick that higher volts offers.
3. See #1. There used to be a lot of cheap batteries that would explode when stacked but that's less of an issue these days.

Pretty much , if you stack the protected batteries , you will probably never have an issue . Just don't buy some cheapo batteries from China , off of ebay and try it . Your asking for trouble. I stack batteries all the time , in a Mako , several GG's , a Chuck , a Prodigy V3.1 , REO"Grand" , just to name a few . Never had a problem yet .

I stack batts in my SB for 6v vaping. +1 for Protected Batteries Only. Not the cheapies... the good black or red label protected AW IMRs or the silver and green LifePos. AltSmoke prolly has an insurance provider insisting on the disclaimer. Stacking cheap unprotected batts in a mod is dangerous.

My disclaimer: I have no electrical skills or battery knowledge. I follow ECF veterans around and mimic their behavior when they report good results with equipment and supplies. If it works well for me also I share that info. HV vape at your own risk.
