Mod break-in period?

Hello all,

I've tried several mods ranging from an ego to a provari. By far my favorite mod I have tried to date is MEL VV Box Mod for various reasons that i will share if people ask, but that's not what this post is about.

I recently broke mine, by tightening my rba onto the connector wayyyy too tight with a pair of pliers. really stupid on my part, i know. I ordered a new one, which I received the other day. The first couple of days using it, I noticed that the flavor seemed much more muted than it was with my first detonator, and the vapor production did not seem as prevalent. it was really beginning to bug me.

Today is my third day of using it, and I seem to notice an improvement in the flavor.

Is there such a thing as a break-in period for mods/electronics, or is this all in my head? I'm not electronically savvy, so I have no idea if certain types of circuitry/wires/connector improve over time?

As far as i know there isnt.. ive had a few mods where for example the buttom would be really touch or easy to press but after a week itll get better but as for rba's ive never herd of or experienced it

Wicks are the only thing I know of that really break in.

The battery device will have less to do with vapor production & flavor than the delivery system. So if something is acting wonky 9/10 its going to be the wick/coil/etc.

Ok, i'll keep an eye on it. Ive gotten really good with wicks/coils since using rba's, and ive tried 3-4 on my new device. i like to think i at least have 25% success rate!!...but that would actually be great news if that was the issue, seeing as it is something i can control.

Sometimes the wicking material does work better after a short break in period. Its not the electronics that are working better.

Possible your new mod has a resistance issue. Maybe a circuit or switch or even the top connector is not passing current smoothly.
