Mod help

Ok I have built a VV mod using the circuitry from the fist pac. I am trying to incorporate a volt meter into it and everything works except when I put an atty on it the volt meter does not fire up. Does anyone have any ideas. I am thinking that there just aren't enough amps to drive both the atty and the volt meter. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

The meter shouldnt draw enough to make it not fire under load. Can you elaborate on exactly how you built the meter into your circuit?

Agree...how it's wired will help quite a bit

I connected the - lead to the batt - and the positive lead to the atty + lead. Like I said it works till i put an atty on than nothing. Maybe it's the meter, I have a different one I can try in the morning.

I'm assuming you checked the atty and it's firing correctly (no short). The - is wired to the far left meter pin and the + is wired to the next pin in (looking at the numbers side of the meter). If both are correct, I'd replace the meter, but if it works w/o an atty, it should work with one.

Yeah I have been through that...... Looks perfect but sometimes the solder joints just dont connect.....

Thanks everyone for your input. Turns out there were problems with the booster chip I think so it all went into the trash. Time to start from scratch.

It sounds like you wired it in series. Mine wouldn't work wired in series, has to be wired in parallel.
