So i have the hohm wrecker 151w and i love it and im not having any problems with it right now. But more towards the experienced vapors, is there any mod maintenance i need to be doing or need to do every so often to prevent problems down the road. Like maybe replacing the battery connectors or 510 pin spring? Also how long will a box mod usually last?

Get a Q-tip wet with rubbing alcohol and swab the 510 well occasionally. Keep it clean. It's 2024-T3 aluminum, and that's some tough stuff. The paint might not last, but you're be hard pressed to dent it with a hammer. I wouldn't be worried about the battery contacts and so forth, or not for a good long while. Those spring-button negative posts are usually rated for several hundred thousand cycles. If they get corroded, a mild solution of baking soda in hot water ought to brighten them up. In an extreme case you could buff the posts with jeweler's rouge, but it's not likely to be necessary. It's far more likely to go south by exceeding the electronics MTBF than anything else. Do you want me to mention don't run it over with a pickup truck?

Hello, and welcome to ECF!

First of all, if the Homh Wrecker is a regulated mod, which I believe it is, then the only "maintenance" you have to do, is keep the tank/dripper finger tight, no need to pop a vein cranking a tank on the mod and keeping the 510-connector clean, as many have stated.

For mechanical mods, like a tube mod, caravela for example, the maintenance routine is way more complex. You have to clean all contacts, clean threads, disassemble the button, clean locking ring and button, then possibly polish it.

Mostly: Just keep the 510-connector clean and free of dirt/juice. Secondly, don't crank the tanks/drippers you put on the mod so tight that you might pop a vein, finger tight is enough. :)
