Mod parts trading/swap/giving thread

Going to give this a try and see how it goes. This is an experiment and I will not say that this is a permanent thing until we see how it goes.

This thread is for trading parts only, not the finished mods.

If you have dead/broken or dieing parts, batteries, attys, and you just don't want to throw them away, you can post them in here or in the PIF thread. If you post them here, you can ask for things in trade but no money may change hands.

Example of things to offer and ask for:

Dead batteries
Dead Attys
Switches
Boxes
Laser Pointers
nicho chrome (did I get that one right?)
wires
solder
any parts to make a mod, just not the finished mod itself.

You may only post a request for parts once a day. If you don't get a reply, just repost it without any snarky comments about not being answered the first time around. The same goes for offers.

This is meant to be fun and a good way to get the parts needed to make mods. Let's keep it nice and not be greedy or I will close the thread.

I'll start off, I could really use some 510 and Kr8 batt connectors. I can get boxes all day long, but it's a bit tough getting the connectors

I can also use switches, lasers, and 20g wire as well

Some mods I'm working on will go up on PIF, so I also need ideas about making them look a bit better. I'm about as creative as a log bump

Blaze, next time I do an HG order I'll holler at you. They have the connectors in 5 packs really cheap. I also have some switches but I'll have to wait till the oldest son is home to find out where they are and how many we have.

And some log bumps are pretty. They add character!

hey blaze, u know that if u want 20g wire u can get it from broken game controllers etc.

so i've got a good bit of 20g wire (multiple strand - not solid) but it works for wiring. also several other things that can b cannibalized for wire. but that's the type i am to see where i can get parts from because i'm a pack-rat and it's nice to find uses for some of the junk i collect...lol



so i've got wire, and am currently looking for almost everything else...lol such as LEDs, resistors, and voltage regulators etc.

they are pretty simple, i made myself a box mod passthrough and it works like a charm

OMG i just had a thought, anyone got old cell phones that charge both by usb and electrical outlet?? i'm interested in them because i want to look at the charger specs to see the output....

Would oxygen tubing work? I can get a lot of it.
Also copper wire from magnetic locks help anyone? I'm guessing it's 18 or 20 ga bare copper wire.

I don't know how big fish tubing is. I have 20 feet or so of o2 tubing. Maybe 1/4 inch diameter - pm address if you want some. I can get more if it works.

Like I said, this is an experiment and we aren't going to make any changes until we see if this is going to work or not. If you change too much at one time and it doesn't work, how are you going to be able to figure out which part messed it up? Right now, this thread will stay the way it is, swapping, trading or just plain giving.
