When I did my condom mod I inserted the pen tip in the other end of the condom. That way I didnt have to worry about not getting it centered. If you put the pen into the condom there is a small nub on the inside of the condom that will help you with centering. I am on day 5 with this method. I just pull off the silicone condom and drip in 8-9 drops and vape away. No juice in the mouth and super easy refills.

That's a good strategy, I hadn't thought about that little nub as a guide (the pen blocked my view of it when I inserted it into the condom). I'll try that when I do my 2nd attempt... right now my 1st one is doing fine and I'm using it a lot more than I thought I would. Try using a syringe to refill your carto. You can get at least 1ml in that way (depending on how empty the carto is) and wont have to pull the carto off so often compared to adding 8-9 drops at a time.

newb, someone in this thread reported replacing the silicone ring after refilling to prevent juice from getting in their mouth, but I didn't and mine works fine. If you are getting juice in your mouth you have overfilled or are drawing too hard. If this happens to me I just use my syringe to draw a little of the juice out (especially if there is any in the center hole) or take softer drags until there is no more excess juice.

Got a tip for you on punching holes in things...use a leather punch! It has different size punches, cost 3 bucks at the store, and works great for this. I also used it to to make a hole in the condom for my Taryn sling for refiling. It works great for spinning.
Btw, I'm new here and my first post :)

Welcome to V4L Skinny. I'm looking forward to seeing the photo, but I know I'll be sticking with my cheap (read 'free') pen. LOL.

I tried punching out another condom from the outside but couldn't get it to squish down evenly (I would have punched a hole through both the top and the side). So, I held the condom with the closed end on top, inserted the pen from the underside and centered the pen on the nub while squeezing the condom securely around the pen. Holding tight, I then inverted it and punched a perfectly centered hole.

Ok, I think I know what you're talking about. I was a bit unsure because I can't find the thread with the original condom mod so I've kind of drawn conclusions from what I've read, so...

I have my first 510 atty here which I accidentally pulled the wick out of, thinking at first that some of the tissue I'd used to dry it after cleaning had got stuck, anyway it's only really suitable for dripping now and it still vapes ok when i do that.

SO, I took one of the cart tops (the rubbery thingys, condoms, whatever) and cut a small hole in it and then slid it directly over the atomizer, no cart whatsoever. Now I take the tip off, drip in and replace and vape like that, directly from the atty, no cart, just the rubber tip.

Am I doing what you're describing or have I just created some all new method? Or one which has been tried and deemed unsuccessful? Because it's vaping nicely :D

I have to say, this is the most ingenious idea for the 2-piece designs to date. I've been vaping like a madman all day (almost 12 hours now), and used up 4 carts. Vape for awhile, drip a few drops in and vape some more. Then switch flavors, and vape some more. You answerd my wish for heavy vaping during work in front of the computer...I love you whoever thought of this!

Oh Taryn, my other hero--you sir get the gold metal for the spin trick
I agree with you, I too, like to take some time, and build up my supply. But today is crunch day since I have dead line on Monday, and 3 stories to finish.
Finding this tip let me power through the day, and not use up my stock. I call that a good thing. Saturdays are my rebuild day, but not today....noooo!
