Before getting the LM2596 modules from eBay, I had picked up some linear regulators. Anyone interested in some freebies to try out?

LM350T (used in the poorvari mod) - I have 3 of these

UCC283T (a bigblue30 vv mod) - 2 of these ones

NCP630A 3 Amp Adjustable Regulator from mad vapes (the Mad vape VV board regulator) - just 1 of these

PM me with an address and I'll send 'em out - pick and choose if ya wanna.

That's too bad.

TI makes bullet proof products, with very conservative ratings.

That's Mamu's graphic that I altered. That's all it takes and it will bury the LM2596's when it comes to actual current ouput.

Seeing as how anything over 8 watts burns my ADV, I could not really care any less about high wattage set-ups, Willy.
Hopefully anyone ordering the LM2596s at least glances over the specs.

And seeing as how in the LM2596 thread you point out the inherent inefficiency of these chips, i don't understand you now promoting a linear regulator over them for the current handling. If you use linear regs for high amp set-ups, wouldn't that drastically decrease battery life? :?:

;) :D
