Models, Manufacturers, and Distributors?

Not sure how to word this coherently. I'm not trying to pick on nor point out any specific models/manufacturers/distributor, just examples I could think of off the top of my head. I don't intend to make this a discussion on specific models or distributors, just a "is X the same as Y", regarding the specific hardware (batts, atomizers, carts, etc) - ignoring any special packaging, additional accessories, etc.

Is there a consolidated list (or is it even really possible for there to be a list) that explains the differences, if any, between say:

A Janty Ego, and a Cignot Ego?

Is a Totally Wicked Tornado the same as the above Egos?

Are all "Joye 510 atomizers" really Joye 510 atomizers or does it depend on who you get it from, and/or who they got it from? Does a 510 atty fit an Ego, Tornado, etc.

....I had more examples of the confusion, but I'm drawing a blank now.

there are about a good dozen or so manufacturers in china that produce about everything and then lots of it is then company or reseller rebranded..

Joye obviously makes the joye 510...but it's sold as the titan by TW and TECC, Dura by janty, yeti...and about 4 or 5 more names that I cant think of at the moment...

Then there's knock off clones of the 510 like the ones made by SLB...
usually genuine joye stuff will say so by the supplier...

then there is the eGo....designed by janty....and then produced by joye, janty released it to be sold OEM by janty....and was picked up by TW and sold as the tornado, some places as the joye eGo, obviously cignot, and of course janty...

Yes.

just make sure you are using a reputable supplier because there are some who will advertise one and sell another. (not referring to ones on this forum just in general)

Cignot Mist! Cignot! lol
Their's are genuine Joyes (basic 510s and Egos which are 510s on steroids) and advertised as such. Unlike TW they don't rebrand anything (madvapes are the same as cignot for not rebranding and Ive bought stuff from both companies and very happy with 'em); I do believe most companies that I have dealt with (almost all forum reg. supplier) give the info on their sites as to which companies make their parts/spares/kits.
For example madvapes will say they have 510 atties and break those down into SLB or Joye ones, so you know which ones you're getting. Cignot ONLY sell Joye, and I have no idea about Ikenvape or TW lol. All atties are made in China though, but battery mods may or may not be made in the US (or UK or Europe etc).

Some of the companies who don't do this would be ones who rebrand, like Blu, who sell RN series atties but call them 'Blu'. That's probably because they want their brand name out there rather than a generic number which wouldn't mean much to a brand newbie vaper. People here are smart and can usually identify atties at 30 paces (I'm not that smart myself lol) providing there's a pic available for them to compare. There are also some good pics in the 'series' by Dondaboomvape on the ECF Library subforum showing different makes and models and giving some of the many names by which they are known.
