Hi....I am in the process of trying different e-cig setups since I'm very new. My first kit was the Green Smoke, which I didn't like very much, then V-2, which was better with the manual battery, but still annoyed with the constant charging. So I read some great things about the Modern Vapor Lux and got that starter kit today. I understand this is a 3 piece system, not two, but I think I may be doing something wrong because when I take a drag, for the first couple (after it's been resting), I hear gurgling sounds and the juice is getting in my mouth, on my tongue etc so it's a little scary. I read some things about blowing out the atomizer onto a paper towel, so I did that, but I'm still getting leaking. I'm using the pre-filled cartridges that came with the starter kit....don't want to and am NOT ready to mess around with liquid filling just yet. The prefilled carts have foil on one end that gets pierced when inserted into the atomizer............is there something ELSE I should be "blowing out" or whatever? LOL.........I love the look of this thing, am excited about the extra battery life, the flavor and vapor is great, but I didn't have leaking out of the first two kits I tried so am asking here. Or should I not worry so much about getting this in my mouth?? It's been over a week since I had an analog, and I'm excited about that too, but don't want to go from one health risk to another one.........

Buy the cartomizers. Almost nobody uses atomizer + cartridge expect when starting out. And yes cartridges can suddenly dump their juice in your mouth and elsewhere. When I started I used atty + carts and I had to always be super careful of the angle of the ecig - I would rest it witht he cart lower so juice would stay in the cart. Then when I vaped I tilted it a bit with cart higher hoping that any leaked juice would go in the atomizer. The model I started with had NO cartomizers so I bought two better models that did.

They sell cartomizers for it don't they? Most use cartomizers for everyday vaping. if I keep a cartomizer damp I can get 7-10 days use out of each.

And BTW - don't do your research on Google. The most popular and respected brands are not found on Google. The most marketed brands are.

Since it has 510 threads, that gives you a lot of options. I also suggest going with cartomizers. A cartomizer has the atty and cartridge in one unit, so the PV bcomes a two piece. There are lots of videos on youtube of various ways to fill a cartomizer. It's really very easy. Scroll down to the bottom of the main page and you'll see a list of vendors, all of whom are good. Select stuff that fits a 510. Lost of people like the Boge 2.0 ohm cartomizers.

Okay I mistakenly thought the "pre-filled cartridges" were the same as "cartomizers".......learning! Modern Vapor seems to sell only either pre-filled cartridges to be used with an atomizer, OR blank cartomizers that you fill yourself. I will look for 510 compatible pre-filled cartomizers at other sites......thank you.
