Ok this is not what a few people around here have tried. I placed a small piece of 400 wire mesh around the wicking of a ce2 clearomizer to help the wicking material last longer. I found something peculiar in a normal ecig batt it produces a little better plume of vapor but in a 5volt pass through it doesn't produce as much as it normally does. I will place some pics up later as it is late.

Can't really tell much difference although I don't taste the very slight burned taste the ce2 have over time as it melts the wicking material. Here is what it ended up looking like after placing the wire mesh around the wick.
I think I needed to tighten up the wire mesh roll a little just the first try on this. I can also tell everyone that the juice usage dropped alot also but vapor production remained the same.

Ya, that is why I went this direction such a confined space I'm sure the mesh would kink and not allow juice flow, but this way the mesh protects the wicking and pulls juice from the wicking.
ralstad - try modding an E2 wire-mesh Genisis this way - as I did last November. It's easy and it works well. If you lengthen the wires too it makes space for a longer wick.
So far no black gunk on the wire mesh I want to vape about 30 ml before I place another pic up but so far so good, other than using to much wire mesh.
