Only a month into vaping (no ciggs, hooray), looking at mods. Am interested in a "Chuck" unless anyone suggests otherwise, like the idea of long battery life...Please advise on where I would get replacement 3.7 batteries, anywhere? I currently like my 510 & 801 penstyle (for drip only) and would appreciate advice on which adapter you like better...thanks!

The Chuck is a great device. There are others also if you are looking for longer battery life.

510 and 801 are both good. depends on your preference so it is very subjective.

The nice thing about Mods is you will get much longer battery life and batteries can be obtained through several sources and are cheapy replaced.

Protege looks very nice and uses a 14500 3.7v battery. From puresmoker.

I havent mentioned 6v devices since you didnt ask.

VP2 from vaprlife uses 14500 batty.

There are more. Basically the design you like best is what you need to get. Look for long battery life for sure. Any device that uses 14500, 18650, etc batteries are going to last for many hours of heavy vaping.

Thanks, doots, have read EVERYthing (thanks for all on this forum!) but can't make up my mind on a mod! First I wanted a Janty Stick, then a Silver Bullet, a Prodigy, Bartleby, geez...I like the looks of the Protege but I thought PS was not taking orders or on backorder? I'll check again. I'm open to advice, 3.7, 5 or 6V, just haven't seen where to order those bigger batts to be prepared with backups! I'm a 54YO female (substance abuse counselor!!) so I don't want anything too industrial looking!!! Thanks!

I try and find all my batteries from Tenergy LiFePO4 RCR123A 3.0V 750mAh Rechargeable Battery (as low as) $2.79 ea!
since you get them fast after you order.

Dealextreme takes forever. Im still waiting for some and its been a month.

Silver bullet is nice. I like 5 and 6volt best as they replicate a real cig IMO. I cant hardly do 3.7 any more. Not satisfying to me.

Altsmoke.com has batteries also. And some other suppliers. Vaprlife.com

Not sure if puresmoker has the Protege on backorder either.

Jantystick is ok. A lot of people like them. Ive had 2 and switch problems on both several times.

Silver Bullet is nice, Prodigy is very nice too.. But most are on backorder.

Keep on the lookout on forum for when they start taking orders and run for the order button..lol

I use the 6v Chuck as well as some others.. Love it. Seems to be the fastest to ship them out. My suggestion would be the Chuck as you can get in any color almost with graphic if wanted.
I would suggest 510. You cana lways use an adapter from altsmoke for 801s..

My 801's on it work great but dont seem to last long at 6+v.
thagbuilt.com
You can also use 3.7 in the Chuck with different batteries.

You would need 2-RCR123A batteries for 6v and 18650 for 3.7
get 3 sets for 6v and 2 18650 for 3.7 if you go with the regular Chuck.
They will last you a lonnnnnng time..

I love my Little Chuck. I wasn't sure about going to a mod until I saw the Chucks. They are each a unique beautiful piece of craftmanship. I don't feel like I am carrying around a screwdriver. The disadvantage of the Little Chuck is that you can't vape at 5v or 6v but that is Ok with me. Only uses one RCR123A battery and you don't get as long before battery changing. I am willing to go with that for the smaller size and the beauty of it. Course you can get the beauty with a Chuck and the longer battery life.

Thanks for the input & links, being a Libra also does not help my decision making abilities! It's down to the Chuck and the SB! One month in and have already spent almost $500 on "stuff" but loving the PV's!
Doot: Appreciate the detailed post back, especially on battery purchase sites...I have not gone back to an analog but have found myself vaping more (with stronger nic) and charging/switching batteries like a maniac...obvious I need the hi voltage...

I like my screwdriver, trog rocks! Lots of vapor and long batt life, thats all I need for work, well juice also..lol! If you have any problems with the screwdriver, trog will troubleshoot for you and if that does not work, send it to him and he will fix it! Did I mention great vapor and consistant? I love my screwdriver and have another one on the way! I have also been lurking around waiting for nhalers(drews) mods to be available,as I want one of those real bad!:)

I gave into the "Chuck" for now but I know I will have to get the SB as soon as they are in-stock again...I am debating on the 3.7 V charger/batt kits AND the 6V option of a
RCR123A charger/batt kit. Both come with 2 batts and will provide options. I have read on this site that 6V really sucks up the juice (makes sense) and I will probably be fine with the 3.7 if I never even TRY the 6V option! Stupid question: as I am looking for the longest battery life do I want the 6V for that BESIDES the stronger vape action it will provide? Thanks!
