Do you guys who use mods, use them out in public? Was just wondering because they look really similar to something someone would use to administer .........

Was just wondering, those of you who do use them, has anyone ever commented or do you get really strange looks??? lol... I still get double takes from using my little kr808 out in public... more so now that I'm using the various battery colors... the blue tip kind of gives it away that I may not be do the traditional thing

I'm beginning to think I may want to move to something alittle stronger... I love my kr808 and I probably will remain using my passthrough... but I was out on the water yesterday and there was a pretty substantial breeze happening... it was great!!... but I felt like it was diminishing my vaping... not sure what was causing it... I would guess the battery wasn't able to heat as well or something? But it definitely made me a little envious of my brother puffing away on his analog =\

I think I'll start another post asking for suggestions >.<

I was just wondering about the modding in public... It makes me giggle imagining people's faces when someone takes it out and starts puffing on it... I bet they start smelling the air for that distinctive smell

Edit: Oops...lol... they eliptical'd the defining word of my post... so I'll put in a slang... maryjane?? >.<

I use my 5 volt box mods in public... if that means anything relevant to your question. I figure I need to do my part to help the general population get informed and acclimated to this :) Mary Jane who? I don't touch that stuff. IDK how a box mod looks like a <whatever> pipe. Or most other mods either.

I say, get the population used to vapers!

I carry my Monkeyboxx everywhere, not that I get out much since I live in the middle of nowhere and stay home with kids and pets most days. Before that I had a VP passthrough attached to a battery pack in my purse and that went everywhere with me. I don't notice any strange looks, and if anyone asks I have no problem explaining what it is and taking it apart to show all the various parts. Most fun was when I showed it to a blind doctor and let him feel all the different parts. He thought it was the coolest thing ever and much better than smoking.

For every funny look and person that asks, there is a chance to teach ;)

We need to teach, we need the "approval" of non-smokers, and to spread the word to help out other smokers.

Exactly. I built a clear 3.7v box mod with a color-changing LED, specifically because I *want* people to look and say, "what the hell is that?". (plus, with a clearomizer on it, I can show someone all of the "innards" without having to take it apart.) A cig look-alike only draws attention when people are paying attention, and in today's world, sadly, most people aren't.

OP, I've wondered the same thing. Do people who don't know what a PV is assume that it's ........ related??

I've used a boxmod in public and on jobsites for about 8 weeks now. A few people have asked what it is, but most just do a double take and go about their business. My boss has not received any phone calls about my vaping and the police have never showed up, so I can only assume that no one is having an issue with what I'm doing.

I wouldn't mind one little bit to explain what my mod is and what it does, but the vast majority of people who see it don't ask about it and don't seem to care.

I'm actually very happy with my eGo but I'm looking into a mod (debate is GLV Supermini vs Reo Grand) because I want replacable parts and batteries, and a PV that just won't die. Since the ego is more than satisfying, I don't need more than 3.7v, and the GLV supermini is really very inconspicuous compared to GG, tube mods, copper mods, Funky VV's with the display, or box mods with box mods being the second least conspicuous.

Sure I want to help people switch to vaping, but if you have an eGo or a mega 510, when someone asks you how much it costs it's $50-70 as opposed to $150 plus batteries plus cartos plus spare atties plus a wall mounted battery charger. I'd use a mod in public yes, to answer the original question, but not one of those big clunky bomb/detonator lookin things.
