How much do you spend per month on vaping ? This is the first question I get when talking up vaping to friends and family. I'm still in the first month of vaping and still buying hardware and figuring out which e juice I like. So I can't give them an amount. It's my understanding that the first month or so is when you spend the most. So I'm asking this question to people who are happy with there equipment and have figured out which e juice they like and have been vaping for awhile. For DIY, refill or prefill and if you buy new equipment once in awhile.

Ah, the age old question. Well let's see. I have been vapeing for about 14 mo. now and it cost me a total of about $1140.00 to now spend only about $13.00 per month in DIY juice and hardware. So in my first year of vapeing I still saved over cigs which would have cost me $1825.00. All my start up DIY was taken out of the first year so from here on out it will be pretty cheap to maintain what I have. Now if I decide to go out and buy new hardware over what I have, the cost per mo. will go up but I don't plan on it. Chasing the latest and greatest will cost you big bucks! I have an ego type ecig and am just as happy with it as the day I started vapeing. DIY was my BIG expense initially but now I am reaping the benefits. A 30ml bottle of premade eliquid can run $8-$18 shipped, YIKES! I can DIY them for about $1.86.
I am sure everyones story is different, but that's mine.

One spends a lot trying to find the right pv and ejuice - I spent a few thousand for the first year and a half. Once I nailed down the hardware and ejuice - the costs have dropped dramatically for me. I've been buying upgrades to the eGo - the 't's' and now the 'c's' but now it's just in atomizers mostly or with the c's atomizer heads - $5 per - so the hardware costs is nil on the monthly basis - I've lost only one atty head since October.

Once I found the flavors I liked, I bought bulk for DIY, and am still vaping from stock I bought from over a year. I 'sample' very few new flavors now. I'd say not including hardware - it costs me about $20-25/month to vape. And despite the few thousand spent earlier - that's in comparison to 5 packs a day for this household - being conservative because cartons are over $60 now... 5x$5/pack...x30=$750/month ..or x365= $9125/year.

Aside from hardware and accessories (batteries, chargers, drip tips, etc.) you have juice delivery and juice.

If you aren't trying to save money by DIY or looking for sales, use cartomizers and juice for an example. The average person vapes between 2 - 5 ml per day of juice. Say you use 1 box of cartomizers (you probably won't) a week and you vape 3 ml per day. That's be about $15 for 30 ml and say $7.00 for a box of cartos. 4 boxes of cartos and 90 ml of juice would be about $73.00 a month. If you want to do it cheaper, of course you can.

You can use attys or clearos and many people say they can use 1 carto for a week or more. And you can DIY for a fraction of the cost. But if you purchase mid-higher end juice and cartos, that's a cost for someone starting out.
