more batteries or get a pass-through?

I just got my Zmax v3 and I love it! I have an AW IMR 18350 and an 18650
Most of my vaping at home is done in front of the computer.
Im trying to decide if I should get an additional pair of 18650's or an MVP 2.0 (PT charging capable) and save the zmax for outside the house activities.

I got my MVP. This thing is cool! thanks for the advice, I think I made the right move.
the button is stiff, but after 200 cycles it seems to be loosening up a tad, or I'm getting used to it. FWIW I have VERY strong hands (mechanic by trade)
I was thinking of lightly clamping it down for a day or so to see if it loosens up

I use a self powered USB hub with mine. Of course with an MVP you don't really Need to stay plugged in for it to last you all day.

If something goes Wonky with the PV, you could lose your motherboard. ( never heard it happen tho...)

cheap battery goes south and ~!@# your lappy = NOT WORTH RISK, to me

Just to be a clear, a vape-while-you-charge device probably wouldn't put much stress on your computer's power system. On the other hand, a true passthrough unmediated by any battery would potentially stress the system unduly.

Btw, if you order directly from taiwan, you can often find replacement batteries for your laptops at 1/4 the price. Also, usb connections are getting an overhaul to support 10X the power. They will likely be the plugins of the future for all devices.
