more liquid with the passthrough?

i just got the 510 passthrough, and i'm kinda digging it think i might get the puresmoker passthrough just for the heck of it.

anyway was wondering, do y'all find yourselves going through more eliquid? the passthrough i'm using seems to be eating it up. and is it me or does there also seem to be more flavor when using the passthrough.

Wait'll you try the Puresmoker PT. Both of those factors (flavor and liquid use) are increased a lot. Totally worth it. Never used a Chinese passthrough myself though.

I would imagine a passthrough vapourises better than a battery, batteries lose their power over time whereas a passthorugh has the power of a brand new battery all the time and there wil be mo voltage driop when you use it.

Yes I do. I have a cheap Chinese one and I go through more liquid than when on bats.

Regular (chinese) 510 Passthroughs = 3.7v

PureSmoker 510 Passthrough = 5v

I just got a passthrough yesterday and from the looks of it my liquid usage will easily double if not more. Also considering reducing my nicotine content to 6mg from 11mg. This baby hits hard if i'm not careful. Amazing what an extra 1.3 volts can do. Like turning up the burner on the stove.

Power is voltage(squared)/resistance.

The resistance is the same but you are going from 3.7v to 5v.
3.7v squared is 13.69, 5 squared is 25 so you are going from
13.69 to 25 that is an 82.5% increase in power so basically I expect it is kicking off almost twice the vapour as with a 3.7v battery.

That don't seem good to me.

It doesn't seem good? Clearly you haven't tried it or seen one reviewed. 5v is the perfect vaping experience. Double the vapor, 1000x the enjoyment.

However it means you have too different experiences depending on how the thing is powered, either USB or battery.
That's not idea really is it, it's like having a pack of cigaettes of two different strengths, that seems a bit of a problem if you do both, which juice strength do you buy?
So I would stiill see it as a problem really, double the vapour means twice the liquid used, if you were happy with 3.7v double that does would be like going from one pack a day to two packs.

I'm starting to agree with this. In another thread someone mentioned "burning the juice" which may be part of my problem. I'm hitting it alot lighter and it's helping. Long slow drags are just to much for me. I think a mobile power supply that puts out 3.7v is in my future.

That's the thing, with the increased vapor production, you take smaller drags generally, and you can use lower mg juice. Flavor is increased by the denser vapor. Worth the little bit extra you use.

Well, the power is indeed proportional to the voltage squared. The maths earlier is correct.

You can't get more vapor without more juice being turned to vapor! Small(ish) price if that's what you like.

The possible downside though is: that the juice flow cannot keep up; this, and the greater heat involved, could easily lead to more chance of 'burning'. That's something to bear in mind.

W/poly and the straw mod, my wicking has no trouble keeping up while it's surgically attatched to my mouth. While it uses more to make thick vapor, you take smaller drags. Evens out a bit.
