so yesterday i messed around and gave the crock pot vs UC a full test. I must say really impressed with the result. I have a recipe I know inside and out. I dont even know how much of this mix Ive made but its alot. I used to use the ultra sonic all the time. 15 mins on 15 mins off for a total of 4 hrs then let it rest for 24 hrs. Ill add real quick that I have also had alot just naturally steep because i make so much of it. when i used the ultra sonic there was always more of a TH with it even after a 24 hr rest than a natural steep but not enough to swear off the UC . now fast forward to yesterday. i made my mix and had already had my CP at 150 degrees for at least an hr making sure i could keep a constant temp. dropped the bottles in and went about my day. 2 hrs later. opened it up, it had a pressurized burp , capped it shook it kinda and back in the water. 2 hrs later took it out again. opened it up, no pressure built up this time shook it up and in the cabinet it went. this morning threw a fresh wick in and filled my tank up. the TH I experience with the UC is gone and there is this smoothness and creaminess Ive not tasted before. sooooooo good. from what i can tell the crock pot is hate to say it better in my opinion. the creaminess im tasting is awesome. lets let my noob shine through a bit and even say I think it might even be better than a natural steep. like I said I know this recipe like i know walking around my house in the dark. there is no need for 6 bottles of various testing this against that etc. maybe the UC shakes it to much or something. Ive messed with heating over the past few weeks but first time Ive tried it on this recipe just because like I said Ive got some much hanging around Ive never really needed to speed steep it anymore. so anyways wanted to throw in my 2 cents into the crockpot vs UC vs natural steep and my results. CP-1 UC -0 lol.... its so much faster. 24 hrs and its ready and very very tasty.:vapor:

edit. also tested the temp of the liquid in the bottle. at 150 degress water temp in the crock pot at 2 hrs the liquid inside the glass was only 139 degrees.. at the 4 hr mark water temp was 150 liquid in glass bottle was again 139 degrees. made 20 ml. not sure if the temp would go up or down with more or less liquid inside.... something to test next I guess.

I am also trying wifes crock pot/slow cooker, last time I used my UC it eliminated the inside seal thingy in the cap....
Low only goes to 135-140 so I been switching it back and forth to try to stay around 150....

So I guess in English English, a crock pot is a slow cooker? Also curious as to what recipe you used?

any cheap meat thermometer at walmart or candy thermometer . I wouldnt say it reduces throat hit, I noticed it made my vape creamier and smoother tho that is what you expect from a creamy smooth vape. from what i noticed the UC had more throat hit for some reason but I think its the shaking adds more air into the mix oxidizing the nic in turn increasing "throat hit" thats part is just a guess. only thing i can come up with as to why they were different . Id expect if you had a recipe that had a good hard TH it still would.
I am surprised and disappointed to hear that the crock pot reduces the throat hit. Has anyone else experienced this effect? I love my TH and don't want to lose it....

as far as that goes Im pretty sure it doesnt lol. when I started DIY 120 was the rule of thumb. and I never went over it. from what Ive been reading recently thats not really the case. I dont have nic test strips so it would be interesting to see but others that do and have tested it say there is no change. Ive seen and tried once up to 170 degrees in the crock pot and all seems fine. (unless my mind is tricking me there is nic in there because I put it in there lol ) but really more people are trying and testing and coming up with positive results. one thing I did test is the temo of the juice in a 150 degree crock pot. with the water temp at 150 the juice in the glass really only got to 139 degrees and stayed 139 degrees for 4 hrs. so the juice isnt really getting to 150. not sure if any of that matters but was doing my best for science lol
I remember reading somewhere in here that nicotine degrades at a temp over 120. Please correct me if I am wrong, I won't be offended. :)

I am starting to like the slow cooker......

Brewed up another 10ml test bottle, 4 hours at 150F°, shake every hour,(along side my NET, which has been brewing for 2 days now). The smell is epic, I cant wait to try it tomorrow evening.....
Besides the silky smoothness, my wife hates the noise from the UC, I told her it didnt bother me, and now I can use it for my brass, what I originally bought it for......:D

Thanks for you experience Wllmc, but i am just curious as you had said it decreases the TH maybe the nic is degraded due to the heat. So far i have numerous people try this method, but none have actually done a nic test to see if it does as far as i know.

Glad you are enjoying it though, that is the most important thing!!! :toast:

Somewhere in the forum someone did do a nic test. But I forget which thread! My uc is now used for ors original purpose because the crockpot gives such good results!
