More wraps = higher ohms?

Hi guys
I generally do a 3/2 coil wrap which comes in around 1.6 ohms. If I want to increase the ohms should I add, or take away a wrap?

More wire=more resistance.

More wraps=higher ohms but, correlates with wire gauge.(I believe , still new) 6 wraps of 32 gives me 2.45 ohms. If I did the same on the same drill bit I use with 28 the ohms would be lower. Again, I'm not 100% on the wire gauge part but, I am on the more wraps with same gauge wire being higher ohms....

Increasing the wraps in your coil will indeed increase the ohms of your device.

bigger the wire = less resistance.

Also if you make an oval coil, this will use more wire, higher resistance.
