Hey,
so i bought the ipd d2, which has a yihi sx130h chip. I read somewhere that the target resistance for this chip in Tc should be anything between 0.05 ohm and 0.065 ohm. The further you go from 0.065 ohm, the worse it is..
I wanted to get the 30 gauge ni200, but to get the 0.06 resistance it would need only 3 wraps. Somehow i think thats just not enough wraps for a good vape.
If i would use the 26 gauge ni200, it would need 7 wraps to get to 0.06 ohm. That looks much better.
What do you guys think, less wraps with a thinner wire or more wraps with a thicker wire?
Unfortunately i ordered the clapton wire with my d2. Its 28/32 gauge wire. It takes a while to heat it up and to cool it down again. Also the first time i made a coil with it, i did 12 wraps. The coil barely made in my kayfun
the resistance on my ohm tester was showing 0.06 ohm, but when i put it on the d2, it was showing around 0.11.
The second time i did only 8 wraps. The tester was showing from 0.04 - 0.06 ohm. At such low resistance, you just look at the coil and it can change, but again when i put it on my d2, it's again around 0.11 ohm.
I don't know why that is. Maybe because my first coil was not so spaced as the other one..
Anyway, i ordered the 26 gauge ni200 wire. I hope it wont need so much time to heat up and cool down and that the experience will be better. Now it's ok, but not what i expected. Also, i didn't expect such higher juice consumption. With a mech mod and just below 1 ohm with a 28 gauge kanthal i would need around 5ml a day. With the d2 and my current setup i think it's going at least 3 times faster.. I expect it to be better with a 26 gauge..
Since I'm a new member, I couldn't post in the apv forum/d2, so i hope it's not a problem to post this here..
