I have spent the last two weeks reading everything I could about DIY. I have been ordering left and right getting all my supplies that i would need to start this new adventure.
Everything is starting to be delivered and my excitement was building. And wouldn't you know that the day I was going to finally try my first mix, I wake up with a nasty cold. And I mean the type of cold that you can't smell or taste anything! So, I guess my experiments are going to have to be put on hold for awhile. Can't very well make the "perfect mix" if you can't smell or taste it......bummer

DIY is deff the way to go, it's so satisfying making juice and knowing that you created it. The money savings are good too lol

Yeah, mixing with a stuffed up nose can really blow your mind after the clog clears. Amazing how much the flavor changes.

Now, if you already had a few recipes, just following along is fine. But really, how many of us only recreate recipes when we sit down to mix? I can't. I feel silly not trying something new each time I drag my equipment out.

I feel your pain, the last cold I got I was vaping purely for the nicotine. It is not pleasurable, vaping with a cold. I had to use the strongest flavors I have (the ones I normally won't touch) to even get a hit of a taste of anything. DIY would be impossible for me because I use recipes, but I use smell to tailor it to how I want it to taste.

yeah, I am basically just vaping for the nicotine. I have tried 5 or 6 different really strong ones and I can't even get a hint of flavor or smell. Oh well, with kids around that had it, I was bound to get it. Hopefully will be able to try my hand at mixing next week.
Just a bummer though. Got all this stuff and can't do anything with it. Maybe I will go order more so I can have more deliveries coming when I feel better...lol

Sounds like a great excuse to start with a very strong menthol . . . even if you're not usually a fan of menthol. Clear those sinuses right up! Here's to you feeling better soon.
