I do what I can, but really, we all do. It's about paying it forward. Others, especially Baditude, helped me along and I, in turn, try to help others. My mission is to make vaping easy and accessible to every person who wants to try it. There are many members who have far more experience and knowledge than I do, but I use what skills I have, which I think is being able to simplify concepts to make them easier to understand.
I can't stress enough how important it is to pay close attention to what new vapers are looking for and not to scare them away with too much information they can't process. This is a new world and a new language for many of them and we have to keep that in mind. It's also important to remember that many of our new members have unsuccessfully tried to quit smoking more than once and are skeptical that these electronic cigarette thingys are going to work. They are hesitant to make a financial commitment and there is often fear - if this doesn't work, what else is left?
The current trend is rebuilding. Yes, it may give a better vape, and yes it may save people money on the long run, but for many new vapers it's not an appropriate suggestion. If they are asking what to buy for a first kit, it's nuts to put a multi-meter and Kanthal on their
must have list. There are new
members, as opposed to new
vapers, where the topic is relevant, but we need to pay attention to the difference. Rawr.
