which aspect of vaping is the most important in keeping you off analogs:
1) flavor
2) throat hit (the feeling of inhaling a cig)
3) vapor production
I left off healthier choice as that is why we tried vaping in the 1st place

My choice: 2 (why i smoked)> 1 (an unexpected positive to vaping)> 3 ( i actually don't like clouds of vapor filling the room)

All three, but flavor coming in last. I always smoked bad tasting cigs, so the occasional bad tasting juice is no big deal. But no TH or no vapor and it just doesn't work. No satisfaction.

I have a cappucino flavored juice that is TERRIBLE tasting, but produces lots of impenetrable fog and I feel it in my throat. So...I'll finish the bottle.

When I first started vaping, it was all of those things plus having a cigarette-like device in between my fingers. Now, not so much. I have several different PVs that all act and taste different from one another and I enjoy all sorts of different flavors of juices. I have devices for general nicotine delivery and I have devices that replicate smoking fairly well. - For instance, I do still get some cravings for a smoke once and a while. I always have a regular old atty with a good hi-nic tobacco juice at the ready in case of a major craving. But, most of the time lately, you would find me vaping peppermint or rootbeer juice from a MAP tank or my eGo-t. -- When I first started vaping, I needed to still feel something the size of a cig in between my fingers so I used a small bat most of the time even after I owned a couple of big bat devices. Now, it would probably take me ten minutes or more of digging to even find one of my 510s etc.

So far as TH is concerned, I'm no masochist. As a smoker, I didn't like massive throat hit either.
As a vaper, I prefer a warm moist vape over the hot dry draw off a cigarette.

I tried vaping in the first place out of curiosity, with no intention of quitting cigarettes ...
wasn't even on my radar.
But, on day one I knew "this will work".
And I'd been concerned about the effects 35+ years of smoking beginning to show in my health.

For me, it's the oral-fixation. I've tried nicotine-gums, patches, etc., but none of them worked because my smoking habits got in the way. First e-cig I tried was one from Green Smoke because it looked like a cigarette. That definitely helped. Now that "look" is less important to me, I moved on to a Mod (Darwin), but the oral-fixation aspect of dragging on something with inhalation and vapor make everything plausible in my mind.

I agree on throat hit (inhaled feel) being the most important and clouds of vapor being not important. Thats why a good variable volt PV works so well.

I'm not a big fan of TH. I thought flavor was the number one thing for me (although after 3 weeks, tobacco flavor is gross, and now I want the yummiest flavors possible), but I was shocked to realize that vapor production is really important (stealth vaping doesn't satisfy me at all because there is little to no vapor, so I don't feel like I got anything - I know I did, but it's not psychologically soothing). In the past few days, I've wanted more and more vapor. I think I'll be looking into mods, now. I guess my answer is that flavor and vapor are tied.
