not sure if it was the mvp that I read this problem on or other mods...you can get a connector...

510 to eGo Adapters for E-Cigarette (5-Pack)

one search I found:
The MVP's connectors are solid. Some owners have had to pull the center connector pin to make electrical contact with certain delivery attachments. My first gen MVP fired all my eGo threaded and 510 threaded clearomizers just fine, but wouldn't fire the 510 connector on my cartotanks. I had to pull the pin, and now they work fine.

My evod didn't make connection with my MVP2 at first as well. What I did was take a tiny flathead screwdriver and gently pried down the part on the evod that makes the connection just a little bit and it's been fine ever since. It's worth a try and I'd rather do that than mess with the 510 connection on the mvp itself.

I agree.

I had an evod that would not connect to my vv3, and it didn't matter what head I put into it. The ring connector of the Evod would bottom out before it made contact.

It is much easier and safer to pull the battery post on the EVOD head than mess with the battery. You usually need to only pull it a less than a mm or so.

When you replace heads on the EVOD do the same adjustment and they should stay that way.

I eventually went to the Mini Protank 2 exclusively and never had to do that again.
