My sister is now wanting to purchase a PV after seeing how much I enjoy my Ego-T. I am recommending the Ego-T to her but I know there are so many choices out there. She isn't the kind that's going to do any mods or even dripping for that matter. What do ya'll think is the best starter kit out there? Is it still the 510?

Actually the standard eGo is the best seller.
I think almost everyone has an eGo (or clone) and a few cartos laying around if they have vaped for any time at all.

Ok...that is what I was thinking. I'm going to get her set up w the ego tank I'm pretty sure. Thanks for your input!

After reading of problems with wicking and having to fiddle with the wick on the tanks and dry/burnt hits I'm shying away from the eGo-T system. I have a regular eGo 1100 Mah battery and dual-coil cartomizers. It's simple to use and consistent. They only problems I ever have are from my own inexperience with filling cartos, but I seem to have figured it out now.

I would suggest that the eGo-T system might be discouraging for a new vapor. But then again, she would have you to teach her.

egos are very introductory, they put out like 3.6 volts which your gonna be sucking on it until your face is blue just to get puff, look for a 5 volt mod, provari or reo grands are my favorite for a reason, and.. if she liked the ego she will eventually want to get something better, i had three egos all died within acouple months, not reliable dont listen to people on here that are still using egos...they dont put out a lot of vapor without a decent low resistance atomizer, after acouple days it gets weaker...look into getting a bottom feeder perhaps like a reo mini from reosmods, very simple to use and you dont have to mess with tanks or batteries that only last a few weeks, or look at www.ecigarette-mods.com....even just a 5 volt box mod from madvapes.com, they even have a variable voltage box mod now for like 35 bucks or something, + acouple 14500 batteries + a charger, and your spending about the same as you would on an ego....

I use the ego-tank 1000mah battery as my first PV and still to date until i buy another device. It has the filterless mega tank that i simply remove the silicone cap and fill up to 2ml of juice coupled to a LR mega atty.
I get very good vapor hit with no problem.
Eventually will but a vv mod for my scubagenV3.

You obviously didn't learn how to use one correctly and/or had bad equipment! Or maybe ya just sucked on the wrong end...

The eGo platform is a terrific system. The compatible options are numerous!

Well, 510 is just the threading on the device and atties/cartos that are used with it. For a starter kit, IMO here's a list of the most popular I've seen:

510 threaded:

*Ego
*Riva
*KGO

KR808 threaded:

*V4L
*VOLT
*G6
*Bloog

Had a smoker friend who I suggested try ecigs. Somewhat reluctant to try. But eGo turned out quite acceptable. Started with carts. Then to tanks. Then to Sapphire (or BUD) - I think for the economy compared to Joye tanks. If stickler to look more cig like, Volt is probably good choice. If willingness to get away from BT is there, lots of things will work. Riva, lite bundle, its very good and economical entry IMO. And, I think, Liberty Flights has some great prices on a tank type entry as well.

I'm all for a Reo suggestion, but did you read the first post? This is a person who has never vaped before we are talking about. Why would they want to start at 5v? I've been vaping for over a year and a half and 5v is too much for me. Just cause you had a bad experience with an ego doesn't mean she will. Everyone has to start somewhere. There is a reason so many people use egos (or clones), they work.

For a beginner I would suggest what I did. I searched online for the best price and warranty. The one I chose had a return within 30 days and money back if you did not like them and a lifetime warranty on the batteries. free shipping all the time. Comes with everything you need to start.
