Unless I am mistaken, most of the problems found in the FDA report are from the nicotine used in the juice. Since, unless I am mistaken, around 90% of the nicotine juice on the market is made by the same manufacturer (Dekang) there may not be a lot of reason to worry about what is the most trusted juice.

But I will second the suggestion of Johnson Creek if you have concerns.

The nicotine being in the juice probably gives the FDA control over it, but based on my knowledge of the report, that big problem was the antifreeze (for the proper name) that was found in one of the carts and the other things that were found as well.

That being said, I feel Johnson Creek is the only one that we know for SURE, is safe. I am sure most of them are, but feel most comfortable with them. Too bad they jacked up a couple of their flavors recently!!!

liquid brands..... that have actually been tested in a lab?
The two that spring to mind for me (and the ones I buy myself) are Totally Wicked and ECOpure. Both have had lab reports done and publically released the results.

I don't immediately have links to the reports, but a bit of searching on here should find them ;)

Thanks for your replies, and for the suggestions. I have tried some Johnson Creek, and I like it. I will check out the lab results- I tend to think the companies that publish them would be the safest to use.

If they all use the same nicotine, then I suppose the results must vary so much because of the amount of nicotine used... which I would consider to be an important aspect of the liquid company's reliability.

And the finding of diethylene glycol in only one would suggest they either used different nicotine or threw some other things into the recipe.

Does synthetic nicotine exist? Do any brands use it?
