I'm new to vaping. My first purchase was a Vapage Premium E-Cigarette System (Menthol).

This morning I was wanting to buy a empty carto for it, maybe even a dual carto. I would like to try some new flavors. I have no complaints about the vapage ecig. But it seems to me I'm only able to buy from them, and a limited supply at that, and if thats the case, in my opinion, it would be a poor system.

Which leads me to my question. What is the most versitle ecigs on the market? I dont want to end up with a whole bunch of non interchangable parts.

You might want to get a KGO kit (Hoosier Ecig Supply sells 'em though they're out at the moment) and some techsmok dual cartomizers (same source and available elsewhere also). You'll want to get a lot more than one carto. The kit comes with cartridges and attys (different than cartos) but you don't need to fool with them. KGO gets uniformly rave reviews, and, though I don't know exactly what you mean by versatile, it's a nice size - neither gigantic nor skinny and short-lived, it's 510 threaded so you'll find plenty of "parts" from various suppliers that fit, and it really delivers. Then get you some positively reviewed juice and read up on everything in here and enjoy yourself. (Looking at your avatar - Kick Bass Vapor has an OMG and a WTF juice - great vendor and great flavors. : ) )
If you prefer a skinny, more cigarette-like batt, some like KR 808s (my preference in skinny) - you could check out Bloog kits, or Vapor for Life's new, improved "diamond tip" batts. Me, I wish I'd started with KGO - I like it better than anything I've bought, including some much more expensive devices.
Good luck. And have fun. It's a whole 'nother world out there, and everyone develops their own preferences in time.
(But you posted this in an accessory thread - might get more response elsewhere...)

It really looks like the vapage brand line is 808 threads. Very easy to find.

I'd run a small experiment and look up kr808d-1. You can buy a cartomizer or atomizer for around 5 bucks and be certain. The 808 model offers great versatility as far as ohms, coils, tanks etc.

If you only have the small analog/slim style battery I'd stay away from dual coils and lr cartos as they tend to draw a lot of power that the smaller style pvs just can't handle.

These days you can find everything you want in an 808 thread as you can in a 510 and they also make thread adapters to boot making your battery type irrelevant

I just looked again. I'm a little more convinced now that the standard slim style batteries and carts are 808. I also see them rebranding 510 and 808 threaded stuff. I see an ego 510 type and an Echo fat bat 808.

That being said, it is time to get away from them. They are rebranding and tripling the price- especially on starter kits!

If you do own a slim style I'd look into the kr808d-1 stuff for compatability and look elsewhere for a minumum of spending 50% less!

Post a link to the model that you own, please

I don't know if you are filling your own carts yet. You can buy prefilled cheaper at Smokeless Image. They sell liquid for topping off the carts so you don't have to chuck them when you are done. You can get 2-3 more refills out of those carts.

Bigger batteries is a loaded statement. If you like those autos I'd recommend an echo. The 650 mah battery will easily last you 6-7 hours. It's the best automatic battery I've ever used and works very well with all 808 stuff. I'm currently using both tanks and the cartomizers that come with it on a daily basis. ECHO KITS : Cropduster901!, Home of the B-52

Anything else is fair game. Most bigger batteries come as manuals. It really does not matter what you get. If you look at a KGO/ Riva type battery you will stay at the same high power as those batteries you have but again, you can use them for a longer time. And you can get a 510 to 808 adapter to use those carts or any other 808 type you want to try. I'm posting this link to a kgo that is a great deal but he is currently out at the moment. I just want you to look at the kit so you can see what it is all about. One of the most recommended kits on the forums. (which is why he's out)KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit If you are looking for the most versatile kit. This is it.

a lot of folks had me convinced to get an ego when I was ready to upgrade. For me it was a mistake. The battery you use and all the others I have listed run at a higher voltage than the ego. I only found two or three carts that came close to what my 808 battery/carts did. For me, I wanted a good daily vape but I wanted to be able to explore as much as possible.
