I've been mugged, shot at, jumped, had my house broken into and had my car broken into here... 8 more months and i'm outta here for good.
That's the type of world we live in these days and that sucks to say. I would never leave any of my stuff unattended anywhere unless it was my own house. I'm very sorry that you lost your PV and iAtty but why would you leave it just sitting there at a car wash? A fact about life today is you can't trust anyone until they earn that right from you. Karma will catch up to that person sooner or later. Keep your chin up buddy, you can get another iAtty. I don't think Imeo will stop making these anytime soon.
I seriously didn't think twice about leaving it there cause I didn't see anyone else except the staff that was there. I know it was pretty stupid but I have a lot of other stuff going on in my life that it really wasn't the first thing on my mind. I just found out were expecting our second child, I'm in the process of moving out of our house, I'm about to be out of the military, and I'm working on getting the business started up smoothly; I know everyone has things going on and it's my own mistake for leaving it there but I guess it's a lesson from god to stay on my toes.
With all your loss, I guess what stands out to me is the call to the cops did no good. Based on 27 years experience, I would be willing to bet if they had sent a cruiser by to take a report, the item would be "magically" found on the floor or in a corner where the thief dropped it to avoid jail.
They can't use the "we're too busy" excuse either. I live on a resort town where it's non-stop action and although it's a tad late to do any good, I would be more PO'd at the cops than myself in this case. Just a suggestion, maybe find out the name of the owner of the car wash and contact him. While he may not give a rat's ...., you never know how many violations they already have or they may have none and want to keep it that way.
I would certainly try before I wrote it off. Let us know how things go for you man.

WOW! I just called the car wash and the owner said he has it that one of his workers found it and he think it is what I am talking about I'll let you know when I get back guys, thanks for the support!!!

Good to go guys, not a scratch on her! the guy told me someone had turned it in about an hour ago... Thank god! whoever took it probably had no idea what it was, he said a guy went to one of his washers and said he had found it in the parking lot; doesn't even look like it ever touched the ground though and still has the same amount of juice that was in it! I'm so lucky for this but ...... at myself at the same time.
