Motivation for selling doublers vs. pricing based on nicotine content?

Hello,

While I understand that you are able to sell doublers for less than nicotine liquids because of the cost of nicotine, why are all non-zero nicotine strengths priced the same? To put it another way, I could buy 3 oz of 16mg liquid for $25 (by buying 1oz 48mg and mixing it with a 2oz doubler), but if I bought 3 *12mg* bottles, it would cost $45. So I guess my question is, is it somehow cheaper for you to create the 48mg + the doubler or something?

Thanks,
Dave

I've done some DIY and flavoring tends to add up more quickly than nicotine for me. So I believe that the doublers option is just another way for Geoff and the TV team to give back to the customers. They also run a promotion that gives every 500th customer their order for free. Not everyone goes for the doublers, but those that do have an incentive to purchase more product. This is also a great way for self customization. While other vendors might off 150ml and 180 ml sizes, TV offers the 30ml sizes and the 2oz 60ml and 4oz 120ml doublers. Essentially you can mix many different mg batches using the doublers and mixed nicotine liquids. You can't get 150mls of varying strength for $30 anywhere else. I like to spend $45 on two 48mg mixes and one 4oz doubler. I am also motivated to buy these doubler packs of all of my favorite flavors to stock up as I need them. This causes me to make more purchases as a consumer.

The system also goes well with the automated discounts that are applied to the cart as you hit the $100 and $200 marks. Tasty Vapor may not have coupon codes, but they definitely have incentives that are much better than other vendors in my opinion.

Oh, definitely not questioning that it is a good deal, just wondering why they don't, say, simply offer lower prices if you buy multiple bottles. The only thing I can *think* of is that they want to be able to offer lower prices just to those that are more price-sensitive than others, and thus are willing to go through the work of mixing their own stuff, sort of the way companies offer rebates so that they only give price cuts to those who care enough about price to send in for the rebate.

Dave, if you find one of the best deals on the planet for zero nicotine liquid such an inconvenience...

I mean give me a break, this is really like looking a gift horse in the mouth.
